Pnetine (pronounced neh-teen) is the patron deity of travel, trade, weather, and criminals.

Are they the figure, or are they the serpent? Although the many-winged serpent is a common mythological motif for Pnetine, it is unclear whether this represents their influence or physical presence.

The positive aspects of this deity is that they are one of the less intrusive ones and tends to be quite reliable. However the negative aspect is that they are the most volatile of the water deities. They are often at odds with Edofor (frost deity), but get along best with Yubrio (wind deity).

Pnetine has domain over the cloud element, as well as the various angels made from that element.

Travel angel (cloud element)

🧳 Their variants are Aircraft (1st & 2nd images), Ferry (3rd image), and Trackway (not pictured). Aircrafts are made for high altitudes, Ferries are buoyant and are good for water travel (but they don't make good divers), and Trackways are able to travel across land for long periods without fatigue.

🧳 The long feathers coming from the base of the neck are for quick signalling, a vital communication method for travel angels who often don't work in close proximity. The backs of the feathers are a different colour, so they can be flipped to change meaning.

🧳 Unlike most angels, these angels have very strict body pattern rules. The colours must be distinguishable and the shapes must be clear from a distance for quick identification. Their bodies must be symmetrical.

🧳 Other entities (be they angelic or otherwise) are subject to identity or permission checks in cloud element territories. It is part of their duty to keep track of who is going where.

Angel sketches loosely based off of paldean pokémon. First is a dream angel (meowscarada), second is a craft angel (tinkaton), and third is an illusion angel (tatsugiri).

Illusion angels (cloud element)

🪞Their variants are Nereid (pictured), Naiad, and Oceanid. The mask is often carved into furious expressions, however the true feeling of an illusion angel often remain unknown. Fog tends to follow this angel around.

🪞There's no greater counter to light magic than cloud magic- it can obscure anything, dampening the effects of the light. Even some light angels have difficulty navigating through the clouds if the magic user is strong enough. Illusion angels may not be able to create vivid apparitions, but they can hide a small city in an instant if needed.

🪞The mist that flows around the head and the limbs feels like silky hair to the touch, just more transient. The stripe markings along their bodies can twist and change at will to form confusing optical illusions, and when they integrate this ability with cloud magic it can become very disorienting.

Weather angels (cloud element)

🌧Their variants are Cumulo (main image), Cirro, and Strato. Weather angels are relatively independent by nature, even on groups they tend to physically distance themselves a bit.

🌧The patterns across their manes and tails tend to roll, fade, and reappear, like raindrops falling down a window. The beaks are lined with multiple rows of teeth, a nasty surprise for those unfortunate enough to get bitten.

🌧Weather angels often work in tandem with wind angels, due to both elements having a tendency to be easygoing. Neither party really need to communicate much- the wind angels go wherever they feel like, and the weather angels like to drift on the current. However weather angels are also happy to conjure clouds and even precipitation on request.

Trade angel (cloud element)

The god of the cloud element is Pnetine, and their realm consists of vast coastlines, sapphire seas, and Mediterranean architecture. Pnetine rules over travel, wealth, and weather, which is reflected in their sector of the heavens.

The realms are split into multiple areas where the different types of angels from the same element tend to reside (for example, the cloud realm has the Silversalt Coast for trade angels or the Sandcastle Empire for memory angels). It is hard to find the entrances to the heavens, however some realms appear to those who are lost. There's a rumour about a train that runs after dusk is able to take you to the stations in the cloud realm, but no one knows for sure.
