first is april showers. he's just called 'cloud' by others, because
this is the main reason. i forgot the gear was called April Showers
this is the lore reason: his gear is sentient and what is ACTUALLY called april showers. he just calls her 'showers' or 'mom' more casually
he uses he/they and is in his late 40s, he fell from splintered skies shortly after being spawned, and his gear summoned itself to save him, later raising him. this is heavily inspired by coil's own lore, just with a more positive relationship between the mentor/mentee. he stays in craterdust, and him and showers work together to retrieve the ones who fall from splintered skies to this day! he's pretty well-known, and a lot of people look up to him due to his work helping the fallen inphernals.
showers is (sort of) a boogeyman, but is mostly known as the 'giant animal/wolf/crow/whatever she wants to take the form of' who watches the capital like a hawk.
note: i MIGHT make him the one who retrieves boombox and skateboard if the lore doesn't answer how they managed to make it down
he also picks up a daughter! her name is gridiron, she is the same age as deedee, and she has the gridiron guitar for a gear! she has a special interest in beetles, and deedee is a close friend of her after 'rescuing' her from a high-up tree. she was one of the newspawns picked up by showers, and just kinda attached herself to cloud. she likes to paint, and has painted a beetle on the back of her gear. she doesn't play music much, surprisingly, she considers herself more of a listener.
she wears a brown hood/cape thing that has semitransparent beetle wings attached to the back. she can pull them up using drawstrings at the front of her hood.
both of them don't particularly hold any resentment towards windforce for exiling them. cloud respects DeeDee for managing not to hate her after learning about it, gridiron just thinks she's scary. gridiron is also mostly based on this tweet:
she is also short for a twelve year old

I remember when I saw this for the first time I saw gridiron and thought it was a pokemon name <_<“ honestly one point off my tally but it’s ok,, little beetle,,,
