y'know i wonder if part of the reason aro content is so fandom focused is that it's really hard to identify each other and form IRL communities, but fandom is often a first point-of-connection to communities outside of IRL spaces.
hey, martimmers. so, i know a lot of us have been busy or going through creative blocks or what have you, and i understand that many of us didn't get to post on martim week (me included). over on the discord (which people are welcome to join!), we're discussing hosting a re-do sometime in may. that, or making a martim may for anyone to create anything they'd like. we will always take works for the week after said week, but we understand wanting to participate. how does that sound? reply or leave messages in our inbox if you'd like.
I like Phighting. I also like making OCs for Phighting. I am fairly certain other people (thats you!) do too. So I made this!
Please, yap and ramble to me about OCs. They can be yours, or they can be someone else's that you just want to show off, I dont really mind either way! (just credit if they aren't yours)
However, there are a few guidelines (boring, I know):
1. Label TWs and CWs if you feel any are needed (needles, blood, bright colors, lots if eyes, things if that sort.) I want this to be a place safe for everyone, including passing viewers.
2. Everything is welcome! I have an incredibly broad definition of the term "original character". So as long as it isn't just an AU of a phighter or like a skin thing for a phighter, you're pretty much good. (I would like to note I won't decline these asks, I will still very happily answer them, they just may belong better elsewhere than here!)
3. Dont be afraid to give me an essay. I will read every single word. I will also probably ask a tone of questions and assume a lot of things based on what you tell me. I do this out of love for your OC. I love them. That being said, don't worry if you only have like. A sentence or two. I will read your two beautiful sentences no matter what you think of them. And I will love them.
4. Dont be weird. I know that's not super specific, but don't be that person on the internet that takes the fun out of something meant to be silly. This blog is meant for fun and for awesome ppl to show their awesome OCs. Its a big OC party and i'm inviting everyone, so don't be weird abt it.
Thats it. I think. Have fun and keep making cool things that you can have fun yapping about :D
This idea is heavily inspired by other Phighting blogs, such as @.phightingaus , @.phightingheadcanons , @.phightinghottakes , and @.phightingships ! I reccoment you go check them out if you want to!
If you'd like to stay and hang out a while, I've got fresh-baked cookies of all kinds and a hot coco station on the table in the back! Feel free to grab a couple and a drink and chillax! Cookies are made fresh whenever they run out :D

Aro culture is hearing people say things like "we all had that awkward first crush in middle school" or "we've all tried to hold on to romantic relationships that weren't working" and sitting there thinking "who's 'we?'"
sometimes i want to look at them at say "skill issue"
Aro culture is wishing that I could say "I love you" casually without getting the "🧐" from others. I have a surplus of love to give, why do people think love is only for romance
aro culture is replacing sex and romance with random activities to really emphasise how weird the rules are. "we played tennis together! that means we're crochet partners now!" "we're crochet partners so that means neither of us are allowed to play tennis with anyone else" "if your crochet partner plays tennis with someone else you should leave them. they're a bad crochet partner who doesn't care about you" "you play tennis... with multiple people... who aren't your crochet partner... what is wrong with you" "you don't like tennis? everyone likes tennis! are you sure you were playing it right?" "you have to play tennis with your crochet partner. that's abusive if you don't" "MULTIPLE crochet partners??? you can't do that! there can only be one! ...is it a tennis thing?" "you don't have a crochet partner? you poor thing. don't worry, you'll find someone! ...what do you mean you don't want one." "what have tennis and crochet got to do with each other? everything! they're basically the same thing"
