Commission: Clouds And Shadows

As I moved into 2022 I decided that I needed to keep a balance between work, family, writing and art while making sure that I kept up with everything so I went back to my ‘projects list’ and thought that I should start doing some things for myself as well. A wonderful commission for a dream client. They loved my portrait from 1029 called ‘Sun And Clouds’ and wanted a similar thing except with the leopard in the shadows rather than basking in the sunshine. So this was fun because it’s a big cat and I love drawing them but it was also like a redraw challenge too so

Sun And Clouds

Animals are always fun to draw and big cats especially so for all the markings in their fur.  This was a tribute to watching a group of clouded leopards sunbathing at the local sanctuary and I wanted to capture that peace but in a more detailed setting than just the grass. Lots of fun with this and time well spent.

Togetherness

Animal study and a gift done for my sister. I love drawing animals and fur with detailing is always a joy because of all the little colour variations and lines. This is also a reason why tigers and leopards are favourites to draw. A fun project and she still has this framed on her wall.
