isn’t it canon in the movie he’s 26 ?

No, it’s not, actually! This is a common misconception that came about when Tangled was new, but even the directors of the movie don’t have a set age for him. I’ve heard everything from 22 to 26 from people who worked on the movie.

So, if he’s going to get a canon age, it’s going to come out of the series.
