I couldn’t find a gifset of the scene but Anthony Rapp’s delivery of “My whole life is in that nebula!” and the way the panic set in after Michael told him Adira went to the planet was so supremely good that even though I didn’t fully buy the ‘we adopted a 17 year old’ plot at that point, I was convinced by the end of that freak out because that is his family and that’s all he has left. And the way they twist the knife when Stamets pleads with Michael right before she ejects him oof it’s so good. I had no idea how much of this show would be centered around the love of two middle aged husbands.
