“Find the key... what does that even mean?” Xancassdra muttered to herself, making her way through town. And she thought the magic she encountered within Corona was complicated and confusing.

As she made her way, however, someone distinct caught her eye. No, he didn’t have a literal key on him... but something within her told her he was someone who knew more about this situation, and she had gotten this far by following those gut feelings, so she’d do so now. “Hey. What do you know about ‘finding the key’?”

Someone was more focused on watching a bird than where she was going.  At least until she stumbled into Cloud.  “Ack!  Oh...um...sorry.”

“Do I need a reason?” Honestly she just felt like it in that moment and it was clear from his return he hadn’t objected.  “Other than I like kissing you?”

A bright smile, well she couldn’t help it when she was around him. It was the sense of humour, the dry sarcasm was fun to bounce off, like a game of tennis back and forth that she could continue for eons.

“Oh come on!” It’s accompanied by a laugh as she lightly swatted his shoulder, “there are more interesting things to talk about.” She didn’t want to discuss the mission not today, not now. She was trying maybe desperately, to avoid thinking about the reactor.

Instead, she planted her elbow on the table, “like you.” Far more interesting a topic. “Thinking of sticking around a while?”

He really hadn’t been looking forward to this, but... well, if he had any hope of keeping these connections, he might as well get through Cloud. The secret was already out, and no point picking the beans back up. 

“Hey, Kid. I’m... sure we have some talking to do, right? Word got around.”

He was watching the city from the balcony near his apartment when he looked up at the sound of footsteps. He recognized the man by description even if they hadn’t ever met in person.
