ok honestly i can’t stop thinking about young scoundrel lando and cargo pilot bodhi flirting in some scuzzy cantina over a game of sabacc and lando giving him the “you know, i’m going to make it some day, i’m going to carve out my own corner of the universe” drunk and infatuated talk and bodhi is entranced at this guy with dreams because he feels so resigned at this point in his life

and  then them meeting again post scarif, after bodhi took a chance on himself, and seeing what lando made of himself i’m. emotional.

when young lando found out bodhi was a pilot and like, particularly loved being in space, and after they had run into each other a few times, he def took bodhi up on the Falcon didn’t he

do you think he let bodhi take over the controls for a bit

lando and bodhi would get each other so well bc they both understand the things you do to protect your people, the personal little rebellions you perform to hold on to your sense of self, but also have experienced being pushed to the point of direct active resistance and I think that would inform how they relate to each other, esp because knowing something that... essential about yourself, has to change you. 

like look 75% of why they’re great, aside from loving bodhi and loving lando, can be summed up with @shortviolet‘s

bc that’s a hilarious image and i will do whatever it takes to make it come true, but also they just really would have an interesting dynamic bc they’ve had such similar experiences despite having navigated them in different ways.
