Clouds & Crayons - Dangerous Crush
I wrote this poem and named it after a good friend of mine, LaDonna. I was upset with her, that she couldn’t see her own worth. Blinded by false relationship advice from toxic people, shallow and tired memes about what a girl should be, and everything else society offers young women, she continued to think settling for less is better than singlehood. LaDonna isn’t the only woman in my life with that story. In fact, she was the straw that broke the camel’s back. I wrote this poem and it was the last day I ever offered relationship advice to my friends...
