@sandersgreysage it's unsolicited but very welcome, thank you! i am absolutely looking for support and advice here, even if it's something i've heard before (gotta cover your bases).

i was indeed planning on requesting copies of my x-rays, just for personal use and enjoyment, but am i to understand that i can just bring them to another dr to interpret? that thought never even occurred to me, though it makes sense. i'll look into it.

i'll also look into local chronically ill groups! i...don't really use facebook, and would really rather not start, but if it's for finding more helpful drs in the area then it may be worth it.

I'm leaning pretty heavily towards the second right now. My phone does have a name (Hemerine, or Hemy), but mostly I prefer it because I've kind of overused the first. I've had it, at various times in my life, as my phone background, my icon, my theme background, my little inset picture above my bio, and my actual desktop wallpaper. I'm not sick of it, per se, but it could use a rest, I'm thinking. Plus, the second one is about $6 cheaper XD
