WISHES TO BE GRANTED: Preference is fic>art>anything else. Give me introspection and character development! I favour kooky, quirky, cerebral, or ambiguous atmospheres, and mythological allusions make me very happy! Bonus points for dissonant cheery creepiness, if you manage to pull it off.

I like group dynamics a lot, particularly Marisa’s science club (with Narumi as her and Alice’s statue child), Kokoro with her trauma pals Koishi and Flandre and maybe cool big sis Cirno??? (wow there’s a thought), Kokoro with her two moms and cool aunt Mamizou, and whatever’s going on with OkiYukaYuyuEiki + Eternity. Besides those my favourite pairings are TeruMoko (<3), YukaYuyu, KokoKoiFlan, MariAli, and SakuAli, roughly in that order, and I don’t care much whether they’re romantic or platonic as long as they interact. Favourite characters are Yuyuko, Miko, Kokoro, Marisa, and Aya so mix and match as you will.

PET PEEVES: I’m not too fond of pure fluff slice of life, simple one-note characterizations, or infantilizing characters. No incest, no big mental age gaps, and I’d prefer not to do anything specifically holiday focused

YOUR ABILITIES: I draw pretty colours and like, stuff. I really like alt designs because then I get to cheat and not use refs.

YOUR WEAKNESSES: I hate backgrounds and I suck at scenes. 

MULTI-TASKING?: Nope

here is the most weirdest shit I could have possibly written about and its all for you: @cloudytian my secret santy recipient!! you have weird tastes. I like that. I have tried to cater to them as effectively as possible.

this is a story about sakuya fucking up her life by making a blood pact because remilia is being remilia way too much. there are many other characters and complex feelings and oddly meaty ghosts, and things will probably be okay. maybe.

I think it is pretty interesting. at least read it for the meat ghosts trust me you wont regret it. its christmas.

TITLE : cloudytian’s wishlist WISHES TO BE GRANTED : My preference is fic > comic > pretty art. I like stuff that is introspective, cheerily creepy, unabashedly absurdist, evocative of mythology or the sciences, or just plain bright and shiny. Very pro-comedy on the comedy vs tragedy scale. Think Zounose, Nakatani Nio, Dowman Sayman, Tim Burton, SMBC, and such. I really like rarepairs!! I don’t care if it’s platonic or romantic, so long as the focus is on the character interaction. Some of my favourites are Kasen/Seiga, Seiga/Seija, SaguSei, KogaMedi, SanaSumi, MariFlan, MokoFlan, MokoJun, SakuAli, YuyuEiki, and YukaMami. But I will happily accept any uncommon combination that looks interesting! I also like group dynamics, especially Marisa’s SA science club, Gensokyo’s sages (Yukari, Ran, Mamizou, Eirin, Miko), KokoKoiFlan, the Devas of the Mountain, religious leaders (including anti-theistic “gods are all assholes” Reimu), overworked white-haired stage 5 bosses, all of the immortals, Taoists vs Buddhists as the world’s dumbest frat rivalry, and kid!fics of any sort. If character interactions aren’t your thing, then I’d like to see Doremy wandering across miscellaneous characters’ dreams, characters using their superpowers for utterly mundane things, or Miko dealing with all of the scientific advancements that happened while she was sealed (the earth isn’t square?? you can fly to the moon?? it sure would’ve been nice to know that this cinnabar thing is toxic 1400 years ago). PET PEEVES : Incest, huge mental and physical age gaps. No boys, please. YOUR ABILITIES : I do the drawing thing and the writing thing best. YOUR WEAKNESSES : I’m honestly not very comfortable with anything focused on holiday celebrations. I’m not too great with PDA beyond the vaunted tier of hand-holding and hugs either. I’m also awful at drawing animals and machines (for the rare hardcore-mecha-pilot!Nitori fan, I’m sorry). MULTI-TASKING ? : If it’s a simple single-character prompt. POST-SCRIPTUM : Everything I touch bleeds neon. Those with sensitive eyes, stay back.

Was Byakuren also affected? She fell 30 places from your last sort. If not, there's a similar trend on the popularity poll, where she inexplicably went from 26 to 40. The only comparable change was Shinmyoumaru's 32 to 44 and Fortune Teller's rise from 100 to 77

I feel like Byakuren just kinda hops around a lot because my net opinion of her is ‘eh, she sure is Byakuren. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯’

Going over the wishlist, I tried to pick a few themes and keywords to work around, building my story. Here’s what I got:

Honestly, my first thought upon reading your wishlist was “yikes!! I got a hard one!”, and I spent a good two days worrying about what to write. But in the end I had so much fun writing, I’m really glad I got your wish to fulfill!

I hope at least some of that enjoyment shows in the text, and I hope my interpretations of your wished themes are satisfactory!

TITLE : cloudytian’s wishlist

WISHES TO BE GRANTED : Atmosphere-wise, I like things that are cheerfully dark and creepy or splash in the realm of psychological horror (think Dowman Sayman, Tim Burton, Koge Masaki), things that apply or invoke sciences (mythology/folklorism gets bonus points!) as a central plot point (think xkcd, Franken Fran), things that explore lesser seen sides and interactions of characters (think Nakatani Nio, Yohane, kid-raising stories), or simple colourful cheery cuteness (think Morino Hon, Vivit Gray, Morishima Akiko).

So with those general themes in mind, the pairings I’d like to see (not necessarily romantic, I just want to see them interact) are TeruMoko, MokoFlan, YukaYuyu, KokoKoiFlan, HecaJun, ClownChill, KogaMedi, TojiMiko, AyaHata, and SaguSei.

…Then there are also some other strictly platonic character dynamics that I like, such as the extended HijiMiKokoro family with cool aunt Mamizou, Mokou’s updated friend circle as of th14.5, Marisa’s magical science club, the sages (Yukari, Ran, Mamizou, Miko, Eirin), the chuuni cape club (Miko, Sekibanki, Sumireko), the religious leaders, Seija vs. society, and any pair of nemeses/rivals/foils.

I like to see some underlying narrative structure even if it is just a single image as per the “make your drawing tell a story” shtick, so my medium preferences generally go from fic>short comic>art>everything else, with variations occurring depending how well it’s pulled off.

PET PEEVES : KeneMokou, there’s just too much of it. Incest, huge age gaps in either physical appearances or mental age. No het and no boys are kind of an unspoken given, but it’s here just in case.

YOUR ABILITIES : Drawing, and writing; though I’ve only posted analyses and other such essays here. My specialty in both fields lies in character explorations, twisted creepy cuteness, and two-people interactions because of its potential for setting up dynamism. I also play piano and 5 different kinds of flutes (ocarina, Boehm, dizi, recorder, penny whistle), and have at least 1/3 of the boss themes memorized, so I can do arrangements/sheet music as well, though I’m best at flute solos or duets featuring countermelodies.

YOUR WEAKNESSES : Scenery, animals, backgrounds, machines, environments, and shutting up.

MULTI-TASKING : Only if it’s a single-character prompt.

POST-SCRIPTUM : I come with a mile-high warning sign for people sensitive to bright, oversaturated colours and neon. Beware!
