Hi! This may be a dumb question, but can we include a general Thedosian woman? For example, a Ferelden bar maid or unnamed Orlesian diplomat, for a day such as non-combative ladies day?

Thank you for your question and interest! My first impulse was to say “yes, of course” but considering your question a bit more, it does go too much into OC category. The event is meant to focus on the many female npc’s/companions of the games/books/comics this time around. Like we can definitely do an OC day next time, if it goes well, but please do not submit work with a standalone OC. These works won’t get reblogged either if they are in the ladiesofthedas tag. OC’s in combination with a female thedas npc/companion are fine, but the focus should be on the npc/companion and/or their relationship then.  

This is no reason not to write/art etc about barmaids, as there is a wide array of non-combative npcs (especially minor characters) to choose from in canon. What is Flissa doing in her spare time? Or write/art about Bella’s adventures in Redcliffe’s tavern. There are Chantry sisters. Orlesian merchants, Avvar herbalists and more. The possibilities are endless and we have a large list of basically every female da character ever in our tag section, if you need inspiration ;)  Hope this helps.- Mod Meri <3
