Since it only ever got hinted at, I’m really curious if Grian and Scar will ever meet up with Mumbo (at least I assume it’s Mumbo) to try and salvage some of their photos. I really want them to have at least a few of them :( I was so upset at the camera being destroyed.

I know it might sound coy, but honest and for true: we don't know for sure!

While there are some things we've pinned down as canonically going to happen with TAMN, there's still lots and lots of ambiguous space, and Mumbo is one of those portions! I know that there are plenty of theories about how the introduction could go (dreamt up by ourselves and others). Whether they'll hit it off, or if they'll hate each other, of if Mumbo might just politely but anxiously tell them to "please leave and never ever come back, thanks. also, sorry."

The impracticality of it rests in how Scar and Grian don't know where Mumbo's bunker is located, so it's a bit of a needle-in-a-haystack situation. But there's absolutely the pitch perfect situation where they meet, get along, Mumbo develops the portion of the photos that weren't ruined by light-exposure, and then they part ways with a bittersweet "we'll keep in touch" to which Mumbo responds "nah, you won't, mate" and then that's that.

(What I really hope, though, regardless of Mumbo, is that at some point either Scar or Grian picks up a sketchbook and starts teaching themself how to draw, and makes a habit of sketching their lives to fill the places where photos used to reside. Maybe at some point they find an instant camera and film to last them awhile, but something about pages and pages of tender little studies as one of them learns to draw the other.............. that'd be nice, I think) - 🔒

People really need to talk more about the Freeze aspect in a Fight or Flight reaction. Since there’s technically three but freeze isn’t talked about that much, but it still happens. Like here, freezing in fear is very possible, even likely if the situation is very new/different.

I personally have the fight response but It's also perfectly understandable why people can also freeze up when afraid. Its mostly a psychological thing, where in the moment you're brian can't decide whether it wants make your body fight or flee.

I keep seeing the weekly themes and I’m confused, what exactly are we supposed to do with them?

What you do with the weekly themes is entirely up to you! They act as prompts for people who wish to use them. Asks involving the weekly theme get slight priority in being answered, but other asks still are regardless of the theme.

So, if you want to use it for inspiration you can! If you want to ignore it then that's cool too! It's just a bit of fun for each week.

I just randomly thought about this, but now I need to know. What are the girls’ alignments? (Lawful/Chaotic and Good/Evil)

Hmmm, let’s see.... the way I see it:

Sayori: Lawful Good - She’s a good girl.

Monika: Chaotic Good - She does what she thinks is best for everyone, even if it goes against rules and pre-established conventions of morality. This can be detrimental to her because she pays too little attention to the rules of the world, but she’s working on being overtly emotional and trusting other people, and not just her own judgement.

Natsuki: Neutral Good - Not really bothered by laws or morality, she does what she thinks is morally correct. Even if her views align with morality, she doesn’t follow it because it’s been imposed on her, but because she decided on her own that’s how she’d act.

Yuri: Lawful Good -  A little too lawful since she’s too worried about social codes and stigmas, which can be detrimental to her. However, since the start of the comic she has grown a lot and has learned to be more comfortable around her group of friends, and isn’t bothered by social stigma as much now.

The Perfect Yuri: Chaotic Good - Even though her vision of what’s good and better for everyone is extremely twisted, she still thinks she’s doing them all a favour by being the way she is. She is willing to bend all laws of morality and rationality to teach the girls what she thinks is correct, and to make them “toughen up”.

Ako: True Neutral - “Can I slap you anyway?”

Anthy: Started as Neutral Evil (causing harm and despair because it was her job), but now is closer to Lawful Good - In her current state, she is following her programming and the rules of the computer as best as she can, except this time she’s doing so with the purpose of helping everyone reach their goals. Who knows what other character development and further progression the future holds in store for her~

Student A: Chaotic Evil - He’s been standing inside a burning room for like over a year now just for the drama of it. I don’t even know whether or not he’s even alive anymore.
