this is such a wonderful project/team/etc! its such a great idea and im so grateful something like this is going on! when i was first starting out, there was nothing like this to support artists, and it's great to see all the support that young artists are getting! ill try to contribute some art for cloverkit soon!

The idea behind this thing is real swell (I really appreciate this for the young artists, don't get me wrong), but is this the right way to go about it; encouraging artists without proper criticism? It is really nice and will keep them drawing, I'm sure, but without the tips to help them improve I don't think that it's exactly pushing artists in the right direction and allowing them to grow artistically. It just seems to me that you guys aren't offering advice as much as you're praising them?

Hey Ebony! I completely understand what you mean, people need both encouragement and constructive criticism to improve.

Did you know that this project has two blogs to it?

Team Cloverkit: mainly run by me - we will do the drawings and host competitions ect. as well as dealing with hate

ocsandartists: mainly run by thefandomexpert - where you can submit art and get critiqued 

this project is only begging, so may be a bit rough around the edges. But you are welcome to suggest ideas in ways we can improve the system. I hope this helped :)

The frillious post is here, but (lets see if i can not ramble on forever for once) TL;DR: permission is probably needed from the artists before taking their art and featuring it on a blog like teamcloverkit or ocsandartists and limiting the amount of fanart so that it isn’t so much that the original artist becomes discouraged could be ideas to consider

Nah you don’t feel pushy, I’m actually really pleased at the idea of this! That is a good plan, definitely something along those lines. I think limiting the amount of posts/asking artists permission is necessary. There are lots of ways we could go about that, contests, giving the opportunity to draw them away like map parts, you catch my drift? 

We need to talk about this again some other time :)

Hi! I saw a response you made to thefandomexpert about looking for some help running this page or whatnot, and I'd like to volunteer my services. I'm not sure what I can contribute, but I'd be open to helping out.

Thanks for offering! I think once I get things sorted out (this is a new blog after all), I will do a proper ‘admin calling’. (Don’t think this is rejection, I would just like to get thinks planned out before accepting admins. Look out for when that happens!)

(part 1) HEy alright so in response to both my post and i saw a post farther back about this: this blog definitely seems very cloverkit oriented. I'd suggest either like a partner blog or at least moving the last two paragraphs above the navigation to an 'about' page that explains things in more detail, leaving the rest of the blog open to cloverkit and non-cloverkit things

(part 2) If you decide a partner blog is a good idea, I have the basics blocked out (under the url ocsandartists). Frillious replied to my post about ensuring that the influx of art by experienced artists didn’t backfire and discourage young artists instead. I posted a response to them a few minutes ago, but nevertheless it’s an important thing to keep in mind

I do agree Meg, it is very centered around cloverkit (which as much as that’s a great thing, but the whole idea is to support a range of artists) and i would like it to be less like that(which i did recently change to  make it less so). I think having twin blogs is a great idea! But I don’t think they should be a complete split ‘cloverkit blog’ and ‘art help blog’. I’m not really sure how they should be split though, maybe one could be a critique blog, like you suggested (ocsandartists probably) and one could be about stopping art hate and hosting things like this (probably team cloverkit). I hope this made sense! :)
