Meet The Mecha!
Born around Osaka, Japan, the Mecha is the not-so-typical nerdy girl with her gigantic robots and mech suits and a reserved personality. When you need a tank to absorb bullets and protect a team, she is one of your best bets. With her 20-foot mech suit, her shield, and machine gun, she can become quite a threat to the enemy team. She is best used to lead a charge and absorb potential damage for her teammates, with her mech’s HP being 400 (overheal being 550).
Mecha’s main weakness is (like Heavy’s) her lack of speed. Because of her large mech size, she is unable to run off quickly from danger (especially when firing her machine gun or spreading her shield). But! When she uses her ability, Auto-Pilot, this isn’t an issue anymore.
Auto-Pilot is Mecha’s ultimate ability and must be charged up by the amount of damage she shields from her teammates. Auto-Pilot is when Mecha puts her mech on “auto-pilot” and jumps out of her mech to fight in the battle on her own. She isn’t fully vulnerable though, as her speed is only slightly lower than the Scout’s (120%) and she has her trusty Tachi sword which can do a lot of damage in the right circumstance.
Mecha’s typical primary weapon is her machine gun (while in mech), out of mech her primary weapon is a Glock 17 (full-sized handgun). Mecha’s typical secondary weapon is an AR-15 (in mech and out of mech). Her typical melee weapon is either her Tachi sword or her Katana.
Mecha was born in Osaka, Japan. The exact location is unknown, even to Mecha herself. She has lived only with her single father, and Mecha has been told that her mother passed away from childbirth and her father doesn’t like talking much about it, so that’s all she knows. She was raised with the intention that one day she’d become a mercenary. And that is what happened. She started doing mercenary work alongside her father at the young age of 13. She would use her high intellect and passion for robotics and machinery to aid her in battle. Things she’d create such as new and “improved” weapons she had stolen from her dad, drones, etc.
After years of her mercenary work she one day, at the age of 16, presented her first ever mech suit to a robotics fair in Tokyo and was asked to move to Australia and learn more about robotics and engineering there. She took the offer and stayed in school for 3 years. After 3 years of schooling, she surprised her dad one day by visiting him and telling him how she’d continue mercenary work with his help.
Now her father after a few years of working with him, wants Mecha to go off on her own without him. Hence why she's now applying to work at the RED team!

Being made as a literal personification of a class role is a difficult thing to manage by, so why not try out your abilities in a tournament? He was made to kill afterall! and he doesnt lose anything if he loses, he can respawn!
Currently he lives making videoblogs to try and get to know what he actually likes at all, living with a group of other freaks like him, he's supposed to be a scout, a mercenary, he tries to not feel alienated from not knowing anything about being an actual human person like everyone else
I finished the final design for Mecha!! I'm so happy with it! And I hope you guys are too! this took foreverrrrr especially since I was struggling a lot with my art style. but I think I found something I like! Anyway her lore is below! Enjoy! and most importantly, VOTE MECHA FOR #TF2OcContest2024 !! She's counting on you all!!!

She worked alongside her dad in mercenary work for 2 years until on one mission, she met the RED team and had lost a battle with them. The RED team took her to see Ms. Pauling for the sole purpose of figuring out who she was working for and why they were at the same place at the same time. Ms. Pauling brought up a deal, if Mecha joined RED and made new weapons for them (alongside the Engineer), then RED wouldn’t kill her. She took the opportunity. She is now a part of the support class with her shields and makes mechs and weapons for the RED team.

The Brawler is a close quarters combat specialist with an expertise in killing with her bare hands. She's part of the support team and acts as back-up and extra protection for your teammates. Her main weapon is a pair of brass knuckles, her secondary is a pistol, but instead of a typical melee weapon, she can intercept and use the enemies melee weapons for a short period of time, with time added if she kills the original owner of said melee weapon. She's a rough and tumble Canadian woman who has no qualms about getting her hands dirty, both literally and metaphorically. If you need someone who can get the job done and aren't too hung up on how violently it happens, she's your girl.

Character Interactions (don’t add this if its too much… i totally understand lol):
Mecha met the RED team one night when she was given a job to steal valuable information from another mercenary group. She didn’t question the job as it was the usual “get in, steal shit, and get out” sorta thing. But of course stupid ass Mecha got to the job later than she was supposed to. Everything was typical, she had to kick some ass, and made her way to the intelligence. But right as she was about to snatch it and run, she met the RED team who were there for the same reasons as her. (if she wasn’t so damn late she probably wouldn’t have met them). They fought, and as expected one lil Mecha couldn’t beat an entire nine-person mercenary team. Instead of just killing her, the RED team took her in for questioning on why she was there at the same time as them and basically asking who sent her. Mecha ends up meeting Miss Pauling and Pauling finds out about Mecha’s skills in robotics and machinery. They come to an agreement: if Mecha joins their team to help build weapons with their Engineer, they won’t kill her. Obviously Mecha took this deal (sometimes she wishes she didn’t tho all because of the annoyances the mercs bring into her life cough Scout cough).
Mecha absolutely hated the mercs at first. They ruined her independent mercenary work and made her join their whack ass team. Everytime Mecha had to even see one of the mercs she would curse them out and try to get into fights with them (bad move, as one time Soldier actually fought back with her and it was just endless screaming all day from the two of them). Not to mention that it took Medic wayyyyyy too much work to give Mecha her Ubercharged heart. He had to fully knock Mecha out with sedatives to even get her into his lab. Mecha finally stopped hating them so much after she had a long talk with Engie (He made her talk to him after she tried getting into a fight with Soldier again. He was totally not going to hear them argue for the hundredth time this week). Basically Engie said how even when it may not seem like it now, that they just wanted Mecha to chill and be friends with them and work side by side respectfully (besides the fact that they’d kill her if she didn’t stay on the team). Mecha chilled down a lot after that and she actually gets along with a lot of the mercs now!
Mecha mostly talks to Engie, Scout and Demo. Engie is almost like a father figure, not because of the fact that he’s like way older than her, but because of all the advice he provides her daily. (Most of the time he’s just begging Mecha to not get into any fights with the rest of the mercs). They get along well and genuinely have little to no fights or teasing. Just an overall good friendship. They help each other with their own projects, and they even learn from each other! (even when they hate to admit it). They tend to stay together on missions.
Even though Scout gets on her nerves sometimes, he’s still like a brother to her. A very annoying, bastardly, older brother. The amount of times Scout teases Mecha on her height is immaculate. But even though this duo teases each other relentlessly and frequently, they still care about one another. Mecha at one point even tried teaching Scout how to read, not to make fun of him, but to actually help. (She ended up just teaching him how to read a decent amount of Japanese. One time Scout and Mecha just started talking to each other in Japanese and it freaked the other mercs out way too much). They both talk smack about the other mercs when no one else is listening >:)
Demo and Mecha are just really good drinking buddies. They overall have a good friendship and get along really well! They only fought once, and that was when Mecha first joined the team, at the time she hated everybody equally lmao. They like to experiment together with bombs and machinery. (One time they built a huge ass robot that shot bombs through its arm cannons, it almost blew up the entire fortress, and Engie forbade them to experiment with each other after that).
Mecha gets along with Heavy fine. They don’t talk much. But they really don’t need to. Like Engie, she knows that Heavy is always there if she needs him for advice or anything. But besides that they don’t really talk much. The only time they ever fought was when Mecha tried sneaking Sasha away to experiment on her… it?? Gun idk.
Same with Medic, they don’t really talk much. Mecha once had a confrontation with him when he figured out that she was keeping an entire damn group of cats in her machinery room. Mecha begged him not to rat her out about it, and to let her keep the cats even with his birds with him. He finally agreed to do so as long as Mecha would help him with any of his experiments when he needed it.
Soldier and Mecha kinda get along..?? It’s like they hate each other but at the same time wouldn’t know what to do if one of them got hurt type of deal. Soldier and Mecha go into screaming fits sometimes but it’s not as long or tedious as it used to be. Soldier still gets on her nerves sometimes but she always knows how to shut him up. (One time Soldier started yelling about how Mecha was weak and not a strong American so Mecha challenged him to see who could do the most push ups. She won immensely and always shoves it into his face whenever he tries to fight with her. Soldier’s still ashamed about it to this day).
Mecha and Sniper didn’t used to talk much. Snipes kinda saw Mecha as another annoying ass edition of Scout, so he didn’t talk to her. That all changed one night when he was staying up late and saw Mecha outside in tears. She was in one of her depressive states and talked to him about it. They ended up talking for hours until the early hours of the morning about how Mecha used to be very suicidal and had a self harm problem, and Snipes related with her on those things. They are like vent buddies now and talk to each other whenever they feel bummed out or just need someone to talk to. :)
Spy and Mecha DO NOT get along. Mecha just reminds him of Scout in a way and he just doesn’t vibe with it. The only time they got along was when Spy found out that Mecha had feelings for another female. Spy ended up helping her to get with her crush. (Think of how he tried helping Scout in Expiration Date). The most surprising thing to Mecha is how it actually worked and how now she’s dating her crush and it's partly because of Spy’s help. She still thanks him to this day about it.
Mecha and Pyro get along very well! Mecha treats them like they’re her younger sibling. They are the only person she didn’t fight at least once on base. Pyro does little drawings of her and her mechs and she thinks it's the cutest thing ever. She pins them all over her dorm wall. She even shares the treats and desserts she gets from her family on holidays with them. They have a really good friendship <3

"Something went wrong during a scientist's project to recreate the extinct Thylacine, and he created a creature with a human's mind instead!"
"It escaped and hopped a train, finding it's way to the town of Teufort, got mistaken for a stray dog, and became apart of team RED, becoming the best tracking marsupial around."
Radar the Thylacine is meant to be a total support class, using it's pouch to carry precious medkits and ammunition to their waiting teammates, and using it's tracking collar to alert their team to their location, highlighting themself and any surrounding people in a short radius. Very good for locating a pesky Scout or Spy, due to it being almost as fast and agile as Scout.
On it's off days, it sleeps in a small crate in Sniper's camper. They've developed a bond over being odd Australian things that don't really have a set "family" to return to. It's favorite food is grilled chicken.
We still don't know how it learned to speak though.

Katherine Slyvia - or Kat, to those who know her, is quite the character. Born and shortly raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, She skipped town very young, after years of confinement… if only to menace several American states and almost get caught in a heist at the Met. Fearing the Law was now aware of her, she hopped the pond and landed in Europe, where she went from country to country and continued to silently torment anyone who didn't know to keep everything bolted to the ground. She's especially trained at the art of theft, deadly quiet and intelligent, but she's never been particularly personable. Most people who speak to her find her strange, though they aren't sure if it's the wide-eyed stare or the complete lack of emotional reaction. What they fail to take into account, however, is the empty pocket where their wallet used to be.
