I'm reading up in your eyes lore and it's really cool to see all the info put together, but there are some pieces that I thought were different. I might just be remembering wrong (esp bc we got so much lore of the Bray's all at once) I thought Lusia left Clovis l after Clovis ll died, not when their son was born? And wasn't Ana the only one present for viewing her dad ripping himself apart? But even that part is iffy, bc it reads almost as if the Darkness was planting or manipulating the memory she had of that event, especially since Ana was on Mars during the whole Exo and not a child, but the vision has her as a child 🤔
No you're right, I went back and checked the relevant lore and it doesn't specify when Lusia left him. I guess I assumed it was pretty early because Clovis would have wanted another child and she was already getting angry during her pregnancy because of all his tinkering with the fetus. Elsie mentions rhubarb compote "like Grandma made it," but has to work to track her down after her transfer to an Exo body, implying that Lusia was present when she was very young but had left by the time Elsie was grown. Then again again, that's after Elsie uploads herself, and we don't know what memories Clovis I considered "unnecessary" for her to retain.
Clovis II must have died when his kids were grown, since Clovis I mentions the three girls being vehemently opposed to his treatment plan and I can't imagine they'd be consulted if they were still young. Clovis talks to Willa about his "choices" about the treatment, implies Ana saw her father's "treatment process," and hurled nasty accusations at Elsie over "his deathbed.” Clovis also says to her, "the groans and snaps of his exobody tearing itself apart haunt me," which makes me think Elsie was present for the actual death. All three might have been there in person since the pioneering Exo research was done on Mars at the same Hellas Basin complex where the Warmind project took off (maybe not a coincidence if they were doing research on synthetic minds), and all three sisters were working on Mars at the time. Sundaresh also says that there's video of Clovis II's death, so the girls might have seen it after the fact.
