(I really wish tumblr had a better mechanism for replying to comments JEEZ) I AM VERY PLEASED YOU LIKE IT; also it’s hard to tell from that angle, but the markings are actually meant to kinda mimic gel electrophoresis trails running laterally! :D
(My reasoning here is that it’s probably a pattern she saw often enough bouncing around Spectrum and, being younger, subconsciously picked up and adapted for herself- hey, it’s neat looking, so why not!)
