hey, i am soon getting a baby corn snake. i've done a ton of research on what needs to be done, but i just want to make sure with someone that seems like they are really experienced with snakes. do you recommend a heating lamp, or an under the tank pad? also, what kinds of things should i put in the tank for the little guy? thanks for your time
Under tank heat mat of some sort, always attached to a thermostat. Thats the easiest to control in my experience. While in quarentine I would keep him on paper towels to monitor his bowel movements and to make sure he doesn’t have mites. As for decor, anything he can climb on, burrow under, or otherwise use. I personally use plastic decor so I can wash it easier than actual wood :) Always have a water bowl of course, and at least two hides that are not open ended.
