Hey clownblr are noses erogenous zones for clowns
We hear about the best clowns for first time owners, but which are the worst starter clowns?
If you’re a brand new beginner owner, I’d steer away from full sized porcelains unless you have someone you can really turn to for help. They’re pretty hard to care for because they’re so fragile. Same goes for any full sized glass clown. Almost all clowns are pretty easy starter pets, but full sized glass and porcelain clowns are just a little more difficult!! Of course, if you’re a more experienced clown owner, they’re still incredibly wonderful to have around.
Question
Those of you who have full clown costumes, where did you get them? I’m in the market for one and wondering where to get a clown costume that’s not too old and in good condition.
Can you explain harlequins to me? I've seen them mentioned a lot but never actually an explanation of the species. Thanks in advance!
They’re a breed of clown, not a whole other species. They’re very closely related to Jesters- so much so that they were bred from them. Both of them are very old breeds, although Jesters appeared just a little earlier. The main difference between the two comes in demeanor and colours! Jesters enjoy bright colours, and many ringing bells, and generally play the fool in their various performances. Harlequins, however, prefer darker colours, more monotones- usually red and black, and they like repeating patterns like checkers. They also tend to be more mischievous rather than foolish. They’re generally very similar care wise, however.
Hi there. I recently adopted a Hobo clown, also known as a "Weary Willie," and I want to know if there's any way I could better read their emotions. As you probably know, hobo clowns are most famous for their droopy faces, which are said by some to resemble a permanent frown. But I know that this "frown" is not actually a signifier of emotions, so I want to ask. Are there any other subtle ways I can tell how my Hobo clown is feeling? __________________________ Sorry for the late reply! Generally, you can tell how your Hobo is feeling more in their actions rather than their facial expressions. If your Hobo Clown is feeling genuinely upset and sad, they’ll tend to sequester themselves, and won’t really respond to calls or affection. They’ll be considerably withdrawn, and may even refuse to perform. If your Hobo Clown is happy, they’ll be considerably more affectionate, and absolutely more willing to perform! Hobo Clowns are actually pretty outgoing, and they’ll want a lot of attention if they’re feeling good.
Hello! I am interested in getting a rodeo clown, do you have any tips on the breed? (I do live in Texas, so I would be able to take it to a rodeo a few times a year)
Make sure you have plenty of outdoor area for your Clown. Rodeo Clowns are absolutely the rowdiest breed! They’ll need all the space they can get for playing and performing, and they’re one hundred percent an outdoor breed. Honestly, if you have the space or money, I’d recommend getting more than one. Rodeo Clowns do very well with troupes or at the very least a partner, someone who can keep them company while you can’t be around. They perform very well in troupes or pairs, and it’s for sure a comfort for them. Getting them plenty of props and enrichment toys is an essential! Barrels, balls, kiddie pools, ropes and lassos, I’ve even seen people with the money to spend on it get those mechanical bulls. Try and spend at least a couple hours a day interacting with your Rodeo Clown, even if it’s just sitting and watching them perform! If you have the energy, you could even perform with them! They thrive well on fried fair food, as well as grilled meats, so be sure to have some of that on hand! They’re a very rowdy breed, but they’re incredibly fun to take care of! I hope this helps? If you have any specific questions I’d be very happy to answer! Thanks for sending in a question, and I hope you find a Rodeo clown that you love!
