Power came from a Coventry Climax S4 SV engine with a three speed gearbox initially without differential, cone clutch and quarter elliptic suspension, with semi-elliptics on later cars. A combination of low price, high specification and reliable road manners made this Clynos staple product, and a credible alternative to the Morris Oxford. Four wheel brakes standard from 1926.
