When I'm sad I literally just scroll through your posts for HOURS and it makes me feel so much better. I was feeling a little bit down yesterday and i went and read all of your hockey remus things and then that gave me motivation to finally finish the chapter!

I know one chapter isn't a whole lot, but I've been having trouble with it for the last few weeks, and since it was your account that made me feel better I thought I would share.

My book is a fantasy novel, and it's about a princess. Her name is Livinia and she's basically the epitome of a villain princess. Loves jewels, gowns and parties, but she's absolutely not into politics. Her worst nightmare comes true when she's thrust into court when her father is killed. Livinia does have an out, though, when she gets kidnapped.

Of course there's a hundred thousand other things, but that's the main main thing. I wanted to tell you about it because (in case I haven't said it enough) I literally adore you.

baby, one chapter is a lot!! one chapter is the start of something, even if you haven't written the beginning of the story yet. One chapter is a promise, and I'm so proud of you for making that promise! Your story sounds fantastic, but the fanfiction reader in me has to know: is she kidnapped by a hot elf??? or by like a gross ogre??? is it a romance??? is it a damsel in distress story??? the people need to know!!!

Did you see the series finale of CM? If so, any thoughts?

hey CM/Henney Nonny. I watched the finale episodes of Criminal Minds last night. Twice, in fact - live to tweet my reactions as the episode(s) aired, and very early this morning to make edits (there will be several; I’m crossing my fingers all the gifs load as some of them are over 3MB and I’ve seen conflicting info on the new gif size limits). 

I…need a minute. 

I’m feeling bittersweet about the episodes and the season in general. Take this all with a grain of salt, because I haven’t watched all the episodes of the entire series. I haven’t been a viewer from the pilot episode air date, nor have I binged the series like I do with other shows, so I’m missing some of the nuanced dynamics of this cast and their characters. 

That being said…I know Lynch/Chameleon was a twisted unsub that’s caused problems for the BAU, but the dread/danger associated with him didn’t feel as intense as they made it out to be. This is less about the cast, and more about the writing (the actors can only do so much with the material they’re given to work with). Maybe because he’s a “new” unsub (I mean, they only introduced him last season) whereas with other procedural type shows I’ve watched in the past (Hawaii Five-0 and NCIS, to stick with one network) the recurring antagonist/villain pops up over the course of several seasons for a game of Cat & Mouse before getting away. 

There’s also more humor incorporated into the other shows, compared to CM. Even just a little joking and teasing between coworkers, like the way Steve and Danny on Five-0 bicker like an old married couple, or DiNozzo/Torres had a swag/brag attitude that often had them putting their foot in their mouth. Ellie with her junk food/stress eating quirk, or recurring/side characters that added brevity in what’s a very serious line of work. Max the medical examiner who always dresses up as one of Keanu Reeves’s roles for Halloween, Ducky’s trivia nuggets while reviewing cause of death. Sang Min. #fullstop #he’s-hilarious

We get some humor via Garcia (her need for bright and colorful everything), Reid’s trivia via his massive brain full of information, and the occasional amused side-eye from someone on the team, but they’re all pretty serious for the most part. Maybe Morgan added more humor while he was on the show, but like I said, I haven’t watched a lot of the earlier seasons. I get that they’re profiling unsubs and these killers are dark and twisted, but that’s all the more reason to joke around and add a little light to conversations adjacent to tracking down their target. That much darkness will mess with your head if you don’t have a way to release it. 

I rolled my eyes at the “let’s walk around in Reid’s subconscious while he fights a brain bleed” otherwise known as CM Wants To Be The Reid Show while not Jane Lynch was in the middle of kidnapping Rossi’s friggin WIFE. The split between what was going on with Reid vs. the rest of the team felt uneven, given that it was the final episode e v e r. Also there was no sign of Max (not even at the party!). Did she decide to nope outta there after the whole thing with her family and Cat? Did she get annoyed by everyone thinking Reid was her boyfriend when he was soooo not her boyfriend? 

The positives from the finale? 

Reid’s going back to doing something that he loves

Penelope’s going to go do something that she loves

Be the way he’s hair is usually kinda long and trans guys (that I know) keep a little feminity to them and he likes layers (helps hide the small bump left with a chest binder) something about how he acts and like trans guys I know tend to do one thing to help keep disforyia away (my friends tend to draw) Reid reads. Honestly it’s a lot about his that I just can’t really put into words.

i can definitely see that stuff yeah. i really like this head cannon and now i’m gonna be things about it every time i watch the show. thank you for bringing this into my life

So in your Predator AU, do the members actually love their mc’s? Or is it more of a desire to control and possess something, as it appeals to their yandere side as well as animalistic tendencies with being a vampire. I’ve always wondered this, especially with Twillight. As vampires are dead in terms of physiology you’d think that their brains being shut off would leave them incapable of such emotions/chemical responses however you want to look at it 🤔

Right so it’s a little hit of both? Some in the series do think it’s genuine love, others see it as an initial feeding interest/convenience. By the end of each fic I would say most of them are convinced they are experiencing genuine love. I think JK might be the only exception? He’s more possessive if I’m remembering correctly.

A big thing I wanted from this series was to change around some things with Twilight so there are quite a few differences when you compare these vampires to Twilight vampires. The concept of gifts/talents is similar but the vampires in general closely resemble that of True Blood.

In terms of character inspo, JK’s story is kind of like a “what if twilight was about James and Bella.” Yoongi I think is the closest resemblance to Edward. Jimin is kind of like Rosalie inspired. And Joon is VERY Carlisle inspired. Hoseok is a little bit of Garrett and James dashed in.
