used to celebrate shark week like it was a national holiday

fun fact i've gone cage diving with sharks before

scariest shit i've done

literally first one into the cage which means before i stepped on to the ladder i peered into the dark depths below me and a large shadow swam silently right beneath the cage. and then i stepped in.

fyi there's a gap in the top of the cages that sharks can easily swim through, or at least, fit their mouth through.

one of the things i remember from this experience is submerging myself fully under water so that all i could see was blue and staring out far into the ocean and seeing nothing. very weird, strangely peaceful.

i do not like swimming in the ocean.
