Is it possible to change character's rank AFTER it was accepted into group? Considering that the change would be discussed with mod/s and wouldn't influence character's abilities/personality/bio etc. Just different rank.

Yes, of course! As long as it’s discussed with a mod, then there’s no reason why your character can’t change it’s rank after being accepted into the group.

How actually should be called people from different empires and items from those places (like food, clothes etc)? I mean, for example, person from Japan is called Japanese, so person from Lucae would be called... Lucaen...? Lucaenan...? Is there any correct way to write/name it or is it up to us writers to figure it out?

Oooh, good question! For Lucae, it’s Lucaen & as for Melantia it’s Melantian. Those are the two I’m more certain of LOL Uhm.. For Elysium, I suppose they can be called Elysian. I hope that’s helped!

whispers i'm sorry if this has been asked yet... but are you going to add another empire, perhaps after the pawns are taken? i noticed most of the masterlist is taken up and this group got huge wowie.

Mmm, I’m not sure about a whole new empire since I’m not too sure how to implement a fourth at the moment but I have been trying to plan for more pieces / ranks since it’s like you said, a lot of the spots are being devoured LOL 

so yeah, keep an eye out for that! I’m not too sure how quickly they will be implemented but I can assure you that they will.

is it possible to ask not to have our asks published when we reserve a character?

It is possible but it has to be within good reason because we do understand that there might be some circumstances that would make you not want a reserve public.

do you think CM will ever put together more personalised tags? things like "cm open" or "cm ic" so finding open starters are easier, or even "cm musings" or "cm dash com" for dash commentary, reactions to events, the like (w/o explicitly being event threads ..?) i hope this makes sense wah but i was wondering if mods were gunna make some or if it was something left up to the group members!

Honestly, this isn’t the first time we’ve had someone approach us with something like this so to answer your question, I think we will! We’ll probably start with the basics like –

chm open — pretty self explanatory. Use it for open posts that you would like anyone in the group to reply to! Just at least make these starters a paragraph or two long. 

chm mun intro — just a little thing to introduce yourself to the rest of the group! 

chm bullshit — & this can be used anything related to Checkmation that’s OOC-centric so ??? 

( using CHM for these tags because a couple tags such as CM open has been used with other groups so skjfgh )

Anything else can be left up to the members but if you do want to leave suggestions in our inbox for more possible tags, please don’t hesitate to do so!

Is demigod considered a class? And is it all right if a character has the same ability as another? (Not everything, however, but some are the same.)

A demigod is not considered a class. It’s what a character is ... “species” wise I suppose. I can understand the confusion because there really isn’t a section for race / species in our application form but if you want to add it into your own app please feel free to do so!

Can one reserve two characters?

Personally, I would advise against it because then that would mean you would have to write two characters at once which can be extremely overwhelming. But if you don’t already have a character in the group already & are adamant about having two characters reserved, then please feel free to go ahead & do so!
