Not long ago, Reid had reestablished his friendship with Ethan Hyde, a tall, dark-haired, bearded musician [...] Reid and Ethan had bumped back into each other. At the time Reid was suffering a crisis of confidence, having endured captivity in the hands of an UnSub the team had been tracking. With Ethan's help (and Ethan's music), Reid had found his bearings again. Since then, jazz had been a way for Reid to keep himself grounded.
