Website Hacking - what can you do about it?
Most in business have learnt that they need a good antivirus on their computer system and the reality is that all but the most basic websites need some regular attention and investment to their software and security.
A regular software update, security check and backup should make website hacking no more than a minor nusiance. What you shouldn't do is ignore the potential problem; particularly if you have invested a lot of time and effort into building a high quality website.
There are a lot of different issues that contribute to the growing problem of hacking and the best solution is being prepared for it. If companies like Twitter and Sony can't fully protect themselves its naive to think that any small company or individual can do so. The two most widely used website cms (content management) platforms are joomla and wordpress, the number of instances of these dwarfs any other platform hence they are the ones you will most often hear about being hacked but in reality any software platform can be hacked.
