Sinds 2020 werken MAAK Noord en CNCPT samen op het gebied van jongerenparticipatie, om de stem van jongeren in het participatieproces van MAAK Noord te waarborgen. Jongeren uit Zaanstad Noord zijn geïnterviewd door de van oorsprong Wormerveerse Ella John en gefotografeerd door Giovanni Tuinfort en Lieve De Boer.

Wat waardeerde je aan Krommenie en wat kan er anders?
"Als je echt voor jongeren kijkt, is er niet echt iets leuks te doen in het weekend. Er is een cafeetje en dat is best oubollig. Als je iets wil doen moet je helemaal naar Amsterdam en met de nachtbus terug, dat is echt vreselijk. Daar kan je wel wat aan doen door het uitgaansleven in Krommenie aantrekkelijker te maken." - NOLA, KROMMENIE
Wat zou je aan Krommenie willen veranderen?
Ik zou veel meer dingen voor jongeren willen. Twintig jaar geleden was Krommenie om zo te zeggen ‘lit’. Je had bijvoorbeeld discotheken. Mijn ma vertelt altijd hoe leuk Krommenie was en ik denk ‘daar weet ik niks van?’. Ze hadden zelfs een poolcentrum hoorde ik en nu is het kapot saai - het is gewoon echt saai en je hebt niks te doen. Daarom waardeer ik een park zo. Je kan dan tenminste hangen en dat heb je niet op veel plekken. Anders ben je gewoon zo’n idioot die op een bankje zit. Er moet meer komen zoals zo’n poolcentrum wat er ooit was. Meer activiteiten voor ouderen en jongeren zou ik willen. - JORDAN, KROMMENIE
