Another view of the roundhouse facility at Hanna Alberta. I was wondering “What about the door paint colour?”, but then zoomed in on the above shot. Not sure what those (metal?) panels on each door are, but the wood has no obvious paint colour.
Driving east toward Saskatoon from here, we could see the old graded right of way for the better part of an hour or so . . . Lots of modelling potential here!
This image shows the same door as in yesterday’s post, standing further back. That means somewhat different light in the exposure. To me, the view below (other camera) offers a warmer version of the paint colour.
Is this useful to CNoR and CNR modellers? Hopefully.
I’m always interested in evidence of original colours used on old structures. Inside the Big Valley CNoR roundhouse, this piece of a door lays against a wall. I took photos with both cameras for colour comparison. Here is the other:
Both show what I would call a chrome green. Nothing special in my name choice - just fits my past experience with various paints.
