I don't remember the name of it but you have an AU involving Ranboo, Tommy, and Karl get teleported to a World of Giants and there's a language barrier-

I had a very silly idea where Tommy and Ranboo somehow ended up going home with different people than they usually do

Dream now has Tommy and is quietly panicking cuz he doesn't know where Ranboo is and realizes that Tommy is also panicking a little

Wilbur is just running around the house holding Ranboo and making sure he doesn't freak out well he tries to find his phone cuz he threw it somewhere he doesn't remember where-

The boys get back to there respected Giants the next day once they return to the lab but God did everyone have a small panic that day

 I thank you for bringing back the Crossed Over AU. This au is actually my favorite out of all my aus and I love the opportunity to talk about it again!

 I love this idea a lot. Wilbur and Dream must have been really tired that night if they grabbed the wrong person. Dream is a bit calmer than Wilbur in this situation. He was freaked out for a bit in the beginning but connected the dots soon enough that if he had Tommy, then Wilbur must have Ranboo.

 Then it’s just a matter of calming Tommy down, Dream isn’t really used to Tommy’s form of charades and communication, so it’s a bit hard, but Tommy was already starting to calm down on his own anyway.

 Wilbur is definitely not calm. He’s trying to keep it together for Ranboo’s sake but it’s difficult when he’s too worried about where Tommy is and the fact that he can’t find his stupid phone anywhere. Ranboo, though, is holding it together pretty well. He may not know Wilbur all too much yet but he knows him enough. 

 Finally, Wilbur finds his phone and calls Dream, calming down when he realizes Tommy is with him. They talk about meeting up to swap the tinies back but decide it’s too late and that they’ll just wait until tomorrow.

 Everyone is glad to see each other the next day. And if Sapnap and George notice that Wilbur and Dream don’t let go of Tommy and Ranboo all day, well, they aren’t going to mention it.

Crossed Over AU idea!

Ranboo ends up having a bunch of nightmares do to anxiety and all the stuff going on with Karl, Tommy does his best to communicate with Dream that he wants to do a sleepover with Ranboo to help him out

Tommy can much more easily calm Ranboo down since they're the same size and will be in the same room so Ranboo doesn't have to be alone for too long, Wilbur and Dream are a bit hesitant to go for with the idea but decided would be the best option

Ranboo does end up having quite better sleep that night and Dream even learned a few new ways that might help calm Ranboo down if he's having an anxiety attack

 I love this idea a lot!

 And it kind of mimics the idea I had for the very beginning of the au. Where Ranboo stays with Tommy at the lab before Tommy went to live with Wilbur to try and help him get used to everything and so that Tommy wouldn’t be completely alone. Now Tommy can repay that favor by staying with Ranboo.

 I imagine his nightmares are a mix of the usual ones he gets (having to do with his scars) and the whole portal thing. Ranboo hates it because it shouldn’t affect him this much. Ranboo had already long since decided he was staying here, in this world. But...he always had the option to go back before. Now that the portal is gone, his decision is final final. And while, again, he wants to stay, the idea that he is now trapped here is a bit...anxiety inducing.

 But yes, Tommy is much more suited to calming Ranboo down, especially since they can understand each other both ways. Wilbur and Dream would be a bit hesitant, although Wilbur more so since it’s Tommy who would be going over to Dream’s place in order to stay with Ranboo and be away from Wilbur, but yeah, they decide it’s for the best.

 And it really is. He had a few anxiety attacks throughout the night but Tommy was always there to help and overall he got more sleep than he had in the last few days combined.

 Also, sidenote but I think this is how Tommy would find out about how Ranboo actually got his scars. He would be shocked and a bit horrified but he’d put it on a shelf for the time being so he can continue to help Ranboo out. Though now he’s a bit wary around Dream.

Hi! For the crossed over au, why did they not send Ranboo or Tommy back through the portal? They wouldn't've been able to ask if they were ok with staying so how exactly does that work ethically? Like, with Tommy they put him in a glass tank which just...not any privacy at all? And at that point the scientists would've known that they are indeed just as human and sentient as themselves so...

 It does look pretty bad doesn’t it?

 However, there are reasons for all of these!

 The portal popping up is pretty sporadic. It could open up again anywhere between a week or a month. When Tommy came through the portal, the portal was left open for another minute or two but Wilbur was caught off guard and Tommy looked hurt so he grabbed him and took him back to the lab.

 It was about three weeks later when the portal opened up again and the giants conveyed to him that he could go if he wanted but by that point, Tommy was fine with staying. As for the glass tank situation, there actually is some curtains put in that hides the beds and the bathroom for when the humans do want some privacy. 

 Ranboo’s situation though...was pretty bad. The dream team had no idea what they were doing at this point, as Ranboo was the first human they had ever seen come through the portal. They actually did keep him there and back then the tank had no privacy either. There was also the incident that gave Ranboo his chemical burn scars...

 But after that, the dream team realized their mistakes and started making it up to Ranboo and Ranboo started to see them less like his captors and more like friends. By the time the portal opened up again and he was offered a way back, Ranboo declined.

 Neither Tommy or Ranboo have family back in their dimension, so as soon as they bonded with the giants, they were more than willing to stay.

for Crossed over au, you said that the humans can now understand the giants cause of Karl but the giants still can't understand the humans. How long does it take for the giants to realize this? who is the one to finally put it together? and what was the event that caused them to finally realize?

 It happens pretty much immediately after they gain the ability to understand them and they all sort of realize at once.

 The way the magic reacted to Karl angrily wishing the giants could understand them was by inserting itself into all of their ears, which hurt. A lot. The giants came running into the room due to the screaming, extremely worried about why the three seemed to be in so much pain.

 When the pain finally cleared, the humans realize the familair worried tones of their giants are now being carried with words they can actually understand. 

 They all just stand there, shocked, which causes the giants to be even more worried and each human is picked up by their respective giant. They’re each being fretted over but it’s weird because the humans know what they’re saying. 

 Tommy is the first to snap out of it and realizes that if they can understand the giants, the giants might be able to understand them now. So he tries to speak to them. It becomes pretty clear pretty quickly that the giants still can’t understand them though.

 So, they stick to good old fashioned miming and try their best to mime out the fact they can understand. It isn’t until a rather complicated question is asked though and the three react as if they understood perfectly, do the giants realize.

Tell us things about crossed over au? I miss it terribly 🥺

 I miss it too, so tell you things I shall!

Ranboo has burn scars covering half of his face. When Tommy asked about it he said it was from his childhood and that he got caught in a house fire. But that’s a lie. They’re chemical burns and he got them a little over a week after first coming through the portal due to the dream team’s negligence. The dream team still feels absolutely terrible about it but Ranboo has long since forgiven them. (That doesn’t mean that he still doesn’t have nightmares about it though).

All of the humans get tested on (humane tests of course and mostly for the humans own benefit and health) but Karl gets slightly different tests, since he absorbed the portal upon going through it. Through these tests (and some incidents), they realize that Karl has magic/powers. Although everyone is still confused on what that intails, Karl is trying his best to get it under his control. All they understand so far is that it’s connected to Karl’s emotions.

Since absorbing the portal, Karl’s eyes have changed. They now reflect how the portal looked. He can still see perfectly fine out of them though.

Wilbur sees Tommy as his little brother and he oh so desperately wants to show him to Phil and Techno, to have the two parts of his family meet so they can be one big family, but adding more giants onto the four that Tommy is already trying to get used to isn’t the best idea. So Wilbur has decided to wait. Although this causes some problems when his family suddenly decides to visit.

Tommy is almost constantly in Wilbur’s hands. It’s one of his favorite places to be because it’s warm and he feels safe. Wilbur sometimes acts annoyed but he loves carrying Tommy around as well. The two are very affectionate with each other.

Dream and Ranboo are a bit less physically affectionate with each other but Ranboo’s favorite spot his either Dream’s shoulder or Dream’s hoodie pocket. And when Ranboo’s nightmares or anxiety get too much, Dream holds him close to his chest and his steady heartbeat calms Ranboo down more often than not.

Sapnap and Karl are extremely physically affectionate with each other. Karl loves touch and though Sapnap isn’t really used to it, he finds himself enjoying it as well. Karl doesn’t have a favorite spot, just as long as he’s touching Sapnap he is happy.

Eventually, Karl’s magic reacts to their wants again and the giants will be able to understand the humans as well. But until then, the humans still find it very strange that they can understand the giants now.

George is just sort of...there lol. He does bond with all the humans at different times and usually ends up watching them if the others are busy with something.
