I know they did hint at this a bit last season with McCullough and Ruiz, but I’m really loving how this season OITNB is addressing the trauma caused to the guards by the riot. Because look, there was good reason for the riot, but some extremely fucked up shit happened that was not in any way okay. I was so not expecting that sitdown between Dixon and Ruiz and it was everything. Watching Ruiz trying to become a better person is so cathartic and wonderful. Having that in the same ep with McCullough explaining her self-harm brought on by PTSD, I just... whoa. This final season has been excellent in so many ways and I am sad I only have three eps left ever.
