Is there any correlations between misophonia and mental illnesses?
Hey anon,
Research is a bit hard to find, as misophonia has not been classified as a distinct disorder at this time. Co-occurrence happens, but it doesn’t seem to be statistically significant except in the case of obsessive compulsive personality disorder and tinnitus. However, it could be correlated with other illnesses and disorders, but studies haven’t shown that as of yet.
