My talon AU headcanons:

Dick has total amnesia, and cannot remember a time before the court, but he knows there was something but he just can’t remember

Due to the trauma, Dick is mostly mute. He can physically talk, but his conscious mind won’t let him. When he tries, he stutters, badly, and worst case he will have panic attacks.

Jason teaches him ASL and he finds his body remembers it, so he mostly communicates that way

Making shirts fit around the wings takes too much work, he mostly goes without. Jason cut up a few T-shirts for him to wear, he wears them, occasionally. His talon uniform of course was custom made to accommodate the wings.

His body is basically frozen in the current state, he will not age or change. He is technically dead, but generally pretty functional. He can choose to eat or sleep, but often he ignores it, it doesn’t make much of a difference.

At a low point, he tried to cut off his own wings. It was excruciating, and it slowed down his overall healing time tremendously. They did eventually grow back though. It was not worth it.
