Coastal Dynamics 2025 brings DANUBIUS-RI into focus
We’ve just wrapped up the DANUBIUS-RI dedicated session "Restoring river-coast dynamics" at Coastal Dynamics 2025 in Aveiro, Portugal. The session focused on the scientific agenda of DANUBIUS-RI and brought together a strong group of presenters, including both potential users and researchers applying DANUBIUS-RI concepts in their work.
Special thanks to Agustin Sanchez-Arcilla from the University of Catalunya and the DANUBIUS-Spain team, who played a key role as a main convener and organizer of the event. He made it all happen ! Congratulations to Vicente Gracia (University of Catalunya), Christian Ferrarin (ISMAR-CNR), and Dalin Jiang (University of Stirling), who shared some impressive results. Also a big thank to Andrew Tyler (University of Stirling) and Rory Scarrott (University College Cork) for their support and contribution.
The presence of researchers from outside the DANUBIUS-RI consortium highlighted the growing relevance and appeal of DANUBIUS-RI as a pan-European Research Infrastructure of global importance.
