from coast to coast.
I just realised the other day that I have never stayed a full one week in my place ever since I signed the rent contract about a year ago. I was just moving around all the time. And it was not until a friend asked if I was feeling tired, that I had to admit that it is indeed tiring. Still, I know that I'm so lucky, luckier than most, roaming around like a fool. This weekend I was tracing back the GR120 I walked this summer, I didn't have to empty my head. Unnecessary thoughts were just cleansed with touches of the oceanic wind in an instant. My nephew was there next to me. We laughed so much about everything and nothing at all. Shoes soaked with freezing water and hair damped by the rain of October, we did have the best time. I know that those moments you lived during childhood will leave a permanent mark on your life. So I have always been extra careful when I'm around my brother's kids. I'm honored to be a part of what will make them themselves in the future. I hope I've made good memories, or at least more often than the bad ones. Because I know my nature. As much as I want to do good, I'm just always full of rage and at times I can't help it - to destroy and to hurt. A constant battle in which I never totally won. It takes conscious effort, all the goddamn time, to refrain from the urge to fuck it all up. And here comes another important decision I've just made lately. I will leave yet another soul piece of mine on this godforsaken coastal line. It must be here, where the wind blows mercilessly, when waves crash against the shore as if they rage against their worst and the best part of themselves, against melancholy, against time.
Moving quickly in this new big #paintingoncanvas 60"x60" reflecting back on #newfindland #coastalline and connection to recent #alaskacanadaborder and then #westcoastdrive . Things chip away, wear away, but look powerful in the water. #majestic #effectsoftime (at Paper Factory Hotel)
