Changing up the plot. Again
But this time with a little more thought because I rlly wanna connect a tale of the soul properly to ATOTH so that it can make sense
I wonder if the GF crew knew how many angsty fanfics they’d inspire when they wrote the line “I once had to chew my way out of a trunk”
tag game: favourite character poll
Rules: Make a poll with 5 of your (all time) favourite BL characters, then tag some people to do the same.
thank you so much for tagging me @clemelntine!
i had to be really picky about this list or every single character would've been the same archetype, i'm not even kidding. i'm so damn predictable, but god i love my sweet, sad boys. so whilst this list isn't entirely my top 5, they're all within my top 10...
Jeff
Tian

(so maybe the original line-up was jeff, tian, team, white and joke... i'm unwell, okay.)
so who's your favourite?

Tag Game - Pairings and Your Fave BL of Theirs
tagged by @romanceismycallingcard
Since this game is based off the LOL 2026 GMMTV pairings and I'm not a GMMTV girlie this list is going to be very short (I'm sorry).
From that list my faves are:
EarthMix: ATOTS. But to be fair I've only seen them in ATOTS and Moonlight Chicken. I did enjoy MC but ATOTS truly made me love them.
BounPrem: Between Us. I didn't care at all for the other couples in Between Us, but their story in the series was really amazing to me. I loved them a lot in that.
PondPhuwin: Me and Thee. I LOVED them in Me and Thee! The series was so much fun to watch and I loved their characters and the plot was so freaking good. 10/10 series.
WilliamEst: Me and Thee. I did really, really love them in ThamePo but ThamePo wasn't really a fave series for me overall. Even though their characters' storyline didn't get much of a resolved, I loved WilliamEst as RomeMok so much!
um I'll tag @piningintrovert @thisautistic @hughungrybear and @itsallaboutbl and @nonglukest

No matter how many times I rewatch this series, it will always leaves me feeling like I just witnessed the greatest story of all time. The last time I rewatched this was two years ago. I binged it over three days, that time. This time, I binged the first eight episodes in one day, and then the last two a day later. As always, I dreaded watching episode 8 and watching it drained me.
I was expecting to feel some animosity towards Phupha after he confronted Tian in front of everyone, but I didn’t. Instead I felt like I understood him. I don’t think I’ve ever seen or understood just how much he cared for Torfun until I watched it this time. Yeah, he could have handled the confrontation better. But I can see how the grief and the anger weighed on him and how that made him lash out at the person he felt the most safe with.
And for the first time, I can actually see what drove Tian throughout the entire series. Maturity has allowed me to see the deeper layers in this series, and I hope that I can keep getting insights as I grow older and rewatch this story.
Mix’s subtlety in acting is to be appreciated. The contrast between how fiery and stubborn and impulsive Tian is in the first half and then how much more calm, patient and sensible he becomes in the second half is suddenly very apparent to me. Tian becomes so much more subdued as he slowly realizes that the tasks he wanted to do for Torfun were coming to an end one-by-one and that he would have to leave soon, because he does not deserve the kindness and the love of the people a Pha Pun Dao. And when he realizes that if he wanted to continue staying at the village, he would have to tell them the truth, Mix’s acting is just phenomenal.
Of course, I am still mad at how Phupha and the rangers and Doctor Nam do not take accountability for hiding Torfun’s death. I mean, if they had told the villagers back when it had happened, I feel like Tian’s confession would have been a little easier for him. And I don’t like how the show just glazes over that.
This show is slow-burn at its finest. It may seem like things are going fast in the beginning, but I think that’s just how attraction works. You get physically attracted to a person easily, while the emotional part takes time. And the yearning, the yearning in this show! From the lingering gazes to the hesitant touches to the secretive questions, it is all so damn beautiful and engaging. Mix and Earth have this silent chemistry that does wonders for this show. While the acting was tacky in some places, they really conveyed the emotions that tugs at your heart.
On the topic of acting, some of the support characters have done such a wonderful job. My first praise goes to Drake who plays Rang. He has such variety, it is amazing to see him on screen. I especially loved the scenes where he is with the kids. He was so nonchalantly goofy, that it made me wonder if he was acting at all. Secondly, Khaotung. This was the first series I saw him in and I was obsessed with him before I even saw The Eclipse. His acting was top-notch. There was nothing tacky or fake from him and I absolutely loved it every time he was on screen.
My favorite characters in this entire series, apart from Tian and Phupha, are definitely Dr. Nam and Tul. These two carried the ship before it even sailed and my heart goes out to them. Tul was being so supportive of Tian when Tian had come to the realization that he was gay. And “your feelings come from your brain, not because you have someone else’s heart inside of you”? This man was smacking Tian and the viewers in the face with facts left and right. He is the best friend that everyone wishes to have. And don’t get me started on Doctor Nam. The poor man had to deal with two knuckleheads. One, his very own stubborn ass of a best friend, and the other, a baby he adopted and had to parent in the absence of Tul. I loved Doctor Nam for how practical he was and how he called out Phupha and Tian when they had their heads too deep in their asses. Doctor Nam deserves a raise and a fandom of his own. He did everything right and he is the best character this show has to offer.
Overall, ♾️/10
This series is so good, I wanted to start rewatching it the minute I finished episode 10.
I want to inject this series in my veins. I want to tattoo this show behind my eyelids so that every time I close my eyes, or even blink, I can see this masterpiece in all its glory.
