Kiss Fic Asks!

"A penny for your thoughts, milord?"

Cora Crawley asks as her husband snap back to reality, busy admiring the view of Newport from the Levinson mansion

"Nothing much" Robert smiles, and looks at her "How about you? Something on your mind?"

"Nothing much as well, except the fact that we got to go back here at my home" Cora smiles, holding onto his arm "But now, we're with the girls and our grandchildren"

"Time does fly past when you grow old" he said, making her chuckle softly

"It does, especially when you're in love"

Cora turns to him, catching him smiling lovingly at her. With a few white hairs and wrinkles on their foreheads between them, she's still surprised that they lasted this long, and she thank the heavens for the happy and loving life that she got to live, even if it was rough from the start

"Do you remember the secret?" he then asks "The secret from 40 years ago?"

"Ah yes" Cora smiles, "That in this spot, is where secretly kissed here after my parents' gave you their blessing"

"Exactly" Robert replied "And I suppose...you'd like do it again? Now that we're happily married?"

"You know I would"

They then both shared a light laugh before sharing a sweet kiss under the Newport sunset. They held each other close, his arms around her waist while hers around his neck, with her fingers running through his salt and pepper hair

As they pulled away to catch their breaths, Robert gently rubs her back and pressed a kiss on her forehead

"I think this is the best kept secret we've ever had" he said to her

"Yes. Just between you and me" she replied "And we'll definitely keep it 'til the end of our days"

"Oh, we certainly will be" Robert smiles lovingly at her, ever so lucky to be her husband "Happy anniversary, Darling"

Cora smiles back "Happy anniversary to us, indeed" she said, before kissing him once again

I actually came from a family of bookworms. And before we even renovated our ancestral home, we had a literal LIBRARY INSIDE OUR FREAKING HOME. My older cousins and I used to hang out there instead of watching the television.

But then our house was renovated a year after our grandfather's passing, and the books were distributed within the family and some were given to charity. And with the development of technology, none of us are ever reading again...aside from our tiring modules 🥲

God, I miss that library 🥲

Hello! I hope you're having a good day :) Anyway, I would like to ask about your headcanon of Young!Cobert as parents :)

Hi there! I am not having quite a good day, actually, as I am quite sick and was advised to isolate and quarantine myself from the rest of my family (don't worry, I just had a swab test earlier this morning and currently waiting for the results). But you made it a bit better, so thank you for that :)

Anyway...Young!Cobert as parents headcannons (this would be a modern headcannons, if that's alright):

They probably read books on being first-time parents when they were expecting Mary just after graduating college

They both have a close bond with their little girls, but secretly all three of them are Daddy's little girls

Robert would be the one working as an office worker, while Cora works both as a teacher and a part-time tutor to young kids

They would also leave the girls to Rosamund and Marmaduke (who adores the girls very much), whenever they're both at work or going on dates

They would go to Disneyland whenever they're all free (with Rosamund and Marmaduke tagging along because why not)

Robert would find time to play with the girls even though he had a mountain of paperworks to do that is due for tomorrow

Which also makes Cora's heart melt everytime she sees them in his office as she gets home

They're just a happy and lovely family, and despite having kids at a young age; they're very in love with each other

This my first time writing down headcannons, so I apologize if this is quite a mess. But I do hope you like it! 😊

*cracks knuckles* Well, we're going to need a whole day or two to get through these questions 😂

There is a LOT of reasons why I love my boi Robert. But for the sake of humanity, here's just a few:

He is very charming. Even though I was on the 'having a crush on Matthew and Branson' stage in the first 2 seasons, I did find him charming. But I don't like him at that time...well, not yet

Hugh Bonneville is a handsome fellow. One of the major reasons why I find Robert charming (and eventually, attractive) is because of him. I suppose that explains why I have a crush on Hugh as well 😅

He is such a Donk. Need I say more? 😂

He looked so ATTRACTIVE IN UNIFORMS!! Even though I wasn't really into him in the 2nd season (yet), seeing him and Matthew in their uniforms makes my heart beat fast and me screaming internally due to their handsomeness

My favorite things about Robert is that he is very close to his grandchildren (which make my heart melt everytime I rewatch those scenes). He was also quite similar to my late grandfather, who is, like him; served in the Army, is very close to his grandchildren, a traditional man but is slowly open to change, and just wants his children to be happy.

The only unpopular opinion that I have is that I didn't really like him in the first two seasons of Downton when I got to watch it for the first time. My first impressions of him was he was a very strict man, and that I like him only a little (🤏🏼) whenever he was with Cora.

There you go! I hope you can understand whatever I said here 😂 But in conclusion: I really, really love my boi very much 😌

I am quite alright, thank you! I am still tired and busy despite it being Sunday and taking time to rest. But I'm alright, don't worry! :))

22. what would you say to your future self?

Did we got what we wanted? I hope were with the person we love...or I hope we're happy even if we're single! Do we have lots of dogs? Are we alright than we are now? Or are we worse? What happened to us??

Yeah...like people who have their phone volumes on high in a public place. Like, it annoys me too much and at time I need to volume up the music in my headphones more because I can't even hear my own music anymore. I could ramble on about it, but I'll spare you all from it 😅

A tired human being who just wants to rest and sleep because they are currently lacking of those now and in is in dire need to take a break from life altogether
