@coccinnette liked for a Chat Blanc starter.
Icy blue eyes frantically scanned the landscape below him as he remained perched on top of a piece of rubble from a fallen building. It had been... surprising that his Lady had returned to him. The last he had seen her, she had been turned into a statue. I̴t̵ ̷w̶a̴s̵ ̶a̶l̸l̷ ̶h̶i̷s̸ ̵f̸a̶u̷l̸t̶.̶ ̷H̶e̵ ̷h̷a̸d̸ ̷h̵u̷r̸t̷ ̶h̶e̸r̵.̴
And now he had scared her off, and she had ran away from him. He didn’t understand. Didn’t she love him? Didn’t she trust him? The two sides of his psyche were in a vicious battle of good and bad. Right and wrong. Noir vs Blanc. There were no winners in this fight, only losers. Both were suffering. Both were fighting for control and causing pain. Neither of them had a complete grasp of the situation, and everything was much too overwhelming and frustrating for the poor feline. He had tried to claw his ring off to end his suffering, but it was useless. He and Plagg were fused together by the Akuma, forcing an endless transformation that could not be lifted. Not even the little God could break free from its influence to comfort his Chosen when he needed him most.
And so this is what left them in their current situation. With Blanc having scared off Ladybug, and frustrating himself to tears because of it. He hadn’t meant to scare her away, but maybe he had come off too strong. He just wanted this suffering to end. He wanted everyone in Paris to be safe. He didn’t want his mistakes to be what caused the undoing of Paris -- least of all the world. He scratched the ground in frustration several times with his claws, then paced around on all fours before sitting down and pulling his knees to his chest. He placed his head in his hands and bunched his hair into his fists as his chest rose and fell quickly. Tears ran down his face, a pleading action of desperation. ❝ I’m so sorry... ❞ He said, more to himself than to her. He didn’t even know where she was. And while he was sure that in a few moments he would return to stalking her and hunting her down, there were moments when the old Chat Noir had made it obvious that he was still in there -- this was one of them.
