Bless you for your response to that John Winchester post! The thing that made me really angry about it is that they said he was "good enough" to be considered the righteous man. Like "oh see he may have done things but obviously they weren't so bad because some demons/angels considered him to be the righteous man"? You can be righteous and have made mistakes, look at Dean Winchester. He's no child abuser, but he made his mistakes. But he was still the righteous man.

Thank you!! Ugh, i have mixed feelings about that. Cause I have really strong emotions about Dean being the Righteous Man, but you're right, he wasn't perfect or holy. The idea of John as the Righteous Man makes me gag, and people lording his "he lasted 100 years and refused to hurt anyone" kinda drives me crazy, cause like... Dean is a thousand times the man John was? I refuse any suggestion that Dean is weaker or crueler than John because he broke, and after "only" 30 years. John was a stubborn bastard, that's why he didn't break, and Dean has a deep, deep heart that just couldn't take any more pain. Dean has proved himself on earth to be far kinder, braver, and more noble than John ever was.
