Well, well, well… I didn’t think I would ever have to make a post like this one but here we are, I guess… 😞

I was browsing through the #eminem fanfiction as I often do, just so that I can keep up with what people write, hoping to find a gem that will make my day. And I happened to notice a HC post written by a user I had never noticed before.

The post happens to be on a theme that I (along with another writer) have already written about. No problem with that, we can’t always come up with super original topics. But I have noticed that this post is awfully similar to mine, down to some wording. To make sure I wasn’t overreacting, I sent the post to two other users who confirmed that it was not just me.

I don’t want to publicly embarrass anyone so I won’t share the post, nor the account (although it’s not hard to find tbh). But please, whoever is reading this post :

don’t be that person

It’s ok to be inspired by someone’s post. But in that case, the very least you can do is credit them. As writers, we spend hours, sometimes days working on what we upload. Having someone claim your ideas as their own is disheartening.

People are already so disrespectful to writers online, we don’t need fellow writers to come and diss us even more. We could and should be encouraging each other, not stealing ideas down to the wording and post structure.

Honestly, it’s this kind of thing that makes me consider stopping writing altogether.

I loved the movie Coco, but can we please talk about how the great-grandmother hadn’t ever talked about her father before? Like, ever? Since all that was needed for him to be remembered was the passage of stories, that means she was silenced on the retelling of her father all her life, until merely months before her death. That’s dark, y’all.

Also, also, legit query here because now I’m concerned: what about all those ancestors from before the time of cameras? How do they get to return, since their pictures can’t be put on the ofrenda?

Okay look I know I’ve been talking a lot about Coco and re blogging the shit out of that movie bu you guys gotta understand that this movie has fucking dug deep into the depths of my heart and reminded me t be proud of my heritage that for years I’ve hidden away in shame since everywhere in my life has taught me to be ashamed of my skin color and my own family. the sole fact that this movie fucking had dark skinned Mexican, let me repeat, DARK skinned Mexicans. usually in media and and large outlets whenever we see and Hispanic and or Latinx representation it’s usually the lightest skinned possible but no the main character Miguel is a scrawny little bot with big BROWN eyes and a dark skinned complex. I know that i myself am considered a fair skinned Mexican and i am usually bypassed but the fact that their is someone on the big screen that my younger nephews and my brother ,who is the darkest of my siblings, can see this young boy and instantly see themselves in him is truly beautiful. not only this but the fact that the fucking Spanish dub is filled with Mexican stars. What really grabbed me was the that the setting was heavily inspired by the small town of Michoacán, Mexico, MY DADS FUCKING HOME TOWN. The voice talent who plays Ernesto De la Cruz in the Spanish dub in Marc Antonio Solis, guess where he’s from. MOTHER FUCKING MICHOACAN. Look i saw this movie only a few days ago ,December 10th to be exact, and I came into it with already a bit prejudice because the movie was about day of the dead a holiday movie which said holiday was celebrated two months ago and i thought I wouldn’t get the plot but man let me tell you this was more of an addition than a hinder to the plot and the movie in general, I would still watch this movie in the buck middle of summer and i would still call it a classic. I just really love this movie and i want you all to give a chance and love it as much as me

First of all, THANK YOU to everyone who was so sweet and supportive about my little meltdown/freakout about people talking about this blog on Twitter. 🥰 I received so much support via DMs, comments and Asks I am honestly at a loss for word 🥺

Honestly, it seems a little stupid and counter-intuitive but the fact that the blog is "getting big" is super intimidating. It really started as me trying to find an outlet to empty my brain 😅. The more I realize that there are actual people reading that stuff, the more nervous I get. Of course, I am highly flattered that people are enjoying the stuff I write, and taking time out of their busy lives to actually check out what I put out next, but there's another side to it, I guess 👀

To me, fanfiction has always been super personal. Even when I would just be reading and not writing. I would never talk to anyone about it because it's something I did for me and didn't really want to share. Not to mention that tons of people might find it cringey, especially when it comes to real people fanfiction. So, knowing that people are discussing (and kind of trashing) the blog feels weird and intimidating. Because my writing does not feel like that intimate safe place anymore. Up until I realized that people posted on Twitter about it, it was just me, my brain and like-minded people who were so sweet. And then, it opened my eyes to the possibility that not everyone's safe and open-minded when it comes to people sharing their thoughts online, and that it can lead to some harsh judgement. And then, it got kind of scary because I realized that the anonymity is a blessing here, but what would happen of someone could trace it back to the actual Coco ?

So, yeah, I sort of freaked out 😅. But I was so touched by all the comments & messages I have received, all of you telling me that the blog has actually helped you in some capacity. It definitely made me feel like less of a circus freak who writes fanfiction about someone they'll never meet. ❤️

so this is basically a stupid rant of a stupid thing that i could easily avoided if wouldn’t be stupid (?)

Just let me get this thing out of me to enjoy that now i have the destiny knot

i bought a Destiny Knot in S&M to start breeding and OMG i want to die, Battle Royal is the most stressful and stupidest thing Game Freak ever made, it’s just so FUCKING unfair. The hax idk why but it’s always on favor of the NPCs, let me tell you that in the first battle i got Freezed, the second and the third one i recived crits, the fourth one i hurted myself in confusion 2 times in a row, and those are just the first 4 times i played, also the NPCs will “help you” like 10% of the battles, the other 90% they will attack you at the same time or at least one of them will attack you and the worst thing is that they don’t really have the exact moveset or the battles are just too fast for you to learn the moveset of all the pokemon they have. ALSO in the Master level they will use Legendary pokémon, i mean i think it’s OK since i used my Nihilego to the win but at least it was a “Legendary” of the region, they had a Latias (With 30 points more in total stats than Nihilego) and a Raikou (with 10 points more in the total stats than Nihilego). I mean i think the Battle Royal can be a good and funny mode to play with your friends but playing against random NPCs with random Pokémon with Random movesets it’s just so tedious and even hard than play with actual people.

i know you can just have a full party of Lillipups with pickup but idk why i thought farming BP in the Battle Royal was a good idea
