I bought these pastry and bun at Country Brot in Northpoint City. The upscale outlet is managed by Four Leaves Bakery. The first is the flaky Apple Croissant 🥐 (S$2.40) with chunks of apple 🍎 inside. I like that the apple chunks still offer some resistance to the bite and not totally soft.
The round bread with a hole in the centre is the Kaya Bun (S$1.70). The centre well is filled with kaya (咖椰) which is a coconut 🥥 jam made from a base of coconut milk, eggs, sugar and pandan leaves 🌿 as a flavouring. The bun is fluffy soft and the kaya is thick and flavourful but not overly sweet.
