well, to answer your question — it's really hard to choose just one code, 'cause there's just so many out there, y'know?
some i like that come to mind, though... hm. well, there's good ol' ROT-13, of course. a classic. and morse is good as well because people actually know it.
personally quite partial to the Vigenere cipher myself, however. if i had a favourite it'd be that! i find the way it's encrypted is very fun.
