I'm working on the prologue for Code Purple and UUUUGH Splinter is kind of a shit dad but he's trying his best </3 (his best is Bad) en ee waze I think Raph is my favorite character, she's so angry and gay all the time <3<3<3
Her hands tightened around the staff. She was fighting back every impulse, holding back every part of her that wanted to lunge forward. Her head was pounding, throbbing against the knot of the blindfold. Her breath was heavy as her hands tightened more.
“You let your anger consume your life,” Splinter’s voice pierced her ears. She snarled and leaned her head down. “Even now you growl at me. This is a training you excel at when you are in a good mood, hai?”
“Then I expect your current emotions will not affect you. Hai?”
“Very well, then. Hajime!”
She dug her foot into the mat, listening to the silent room. She turned on her heel, swatting a ball out of the air with her staff. She barely had time to react before she turned on her heel, swatting another. She groaned as a ball bounced off her shell, then her shoulder, then her chest. She took a step back and let out a heavy breath, turning the staff over in her hands. She couldn’t help but growl. Her chest was bubbling as she held in her scream. There was a second of peace before she heard it. She turned, gasping as a ball bounced off her snout. Her eyes watered as the boys laughed.
She groaned and threw the staff, pulling the blindfold around her neck. She stared at Splinter with balled fists, tears threatening to escape her eyes. The boys went silent, they all stared, they couldn't take their eyes off her.
“I’m done. Look, I’m controlling my anger by not punching them all in the face. I’m fixed,” her voice cracked.
“No, I’m done with your bullshit–”
There was a beat. “Fuck this,” she scoffed, “I’m goin’ to bed.”
“You will remain here and speak with me.”
“Then it looks like I’m goin’ out.”
“Raph,” Leo took a step towards her.
“You just laughed at me, I am not listenin’ to you.” She finally moved, kicking the staff and pushing past Leo.
“Rooms.” Splinter snapped. The boys let out a chorus of hai as they finally moved. Raph was halfway across the dojo. “Raphael Hamato, stop where you are.”
She stopped mid-step, staring at the ground with closed eyes as the boys passed her. “There’s nothin’ to talk about, alright?” Leo hesitated at the door, pulling it closed as she snapped. “I’m goin’ out.”
“You are running from your feelings again.”
“Better than the bullshit you’re puttin’ me through.”
“I wanted you to see how your anger was clouding your senses.” She flinched as he grabbed her shoulder, “You are better than this. You may go out to calm down, but when you return I want you to stop and tell me you are home, so we may talk.”
