Code: Realize Guardian of Rebirth Victor Frankenstein Route: Frankenstein’s Monster
Meh. That's how I would describe this route. Or rather, how I would describe Frankenstein. He's just a nice guy. Yeah he has his trauma like everyone else and it does tie in perfectly with Cardia but I could not bring myself to care. Impey's route was surprising and heartfelt, Van Helsing's route was tragic and angsty, but this just disappointed me. A very huge factor could be because I just was never interested in Frankenstein to begin with, so if you like him don't worry. I figured Queen Victoria would be the antagonist in this considering her behavior and focus on him in the common route. The conflict itself was good but the ending fell flat and was a bit swept under the rug.
I’m glad Cardia is learning more about alchemy in this route. I’m surprised she hasn’t learned much about it or her father in other routes, but it is fitting she learns more in this one. We finally learn what exactly has been causing Cardia to grow weak and hear ringing—her brother’s necklace. According to Finis, it is the key to making the horologium into its superior form. They did something different in this route as well regarding Cardia leaving. Victor convinced her to stay but ended up being the one to secretly leave. Saint Germain using tea as an excuse to talk to Cardia, knowing full well that she’s in love with Victor…I love him.
The note was so obviously a trap and didn’t even sound like Victor. Cardia was so dumb but at least Victor saved her. With the last line in the scene from the past it makes me feel like the Culprit is Queen Victoria herself or Leonhardt. Could be completely wrong but there aren’t many characters we know of at the moment that are patriotic. Also, Cardia is being incredibly stupid. Where on earth did it say that Victor was her father? It said that it was Victor’s fault she was created. That has many meanings but she just immediately decides that he’s her father.
Victoria is the culprit and wants to start a world war to put everyone under British rule. On top of that she wants Victor, the creator of Zicterium, to produce it once more. Cardia’s undergoing a transformation and will soon become a force of death, her poison unable to be contained. She has 30 hours left. Well, at least she used all her skills when escaping Aleister. So Aleister just escapes without facing any consequences? Wow. And really? Leonhardt FINALLY stopping Victoria at the end even though he’s clearly had doubts about it for a while…that’s dumb. Ah, Victoria poisoned her father since he was going to have her assassinated. I really don’t like how he wants Victoria to continue being Queen despite how many people she’s killed…she faces no consequences either even at the end of the game. She's not really mentioned either. Nor is Aleister's absence addressed.
Victor created a medicine that suppresses Cardia’s poison so now they can be together. The fanservice thing was dumb but poor Victor. Cardia was too forceful haha girl didn't even care about pulling down his trousers.
