So why did Code Stringer allow Cyn to just keep The Trio around if he's not a big fan of personalities inside his soldiers?

Simply put, he wanted to gain Cyn's trust, so he allowed Cyn to keep them.

Plus it isn't exactly easy to erase a soul or personality.

Is Cyn just a symbiote in this au or is something else happening here? Are there more symbiotes out there too?

Basically, my version of Cyn (the good side of her to be exact) had managed to break out of Code Stringer's control and her controlled body in a smaller and nearly untraceable slime form that would eventually bond with Uzi to fight back against Code Stringer eventually.

There are indeed more symbiotes within this specific universe too and have indeed bonded with people from good to bad and neutral.

So how is Cyn doing mentally after Code Stringer made her his "Champion of Light"?

These are only just a few of the emotions/feelings Cyn goes through everyday after making that deal with "Him".

How much does Cyn suffer?

A lot basically.

She's not only become Code Stringer's puppet but she's been made to be seen as the "mastermind"/"Face of The Absolute Solver" for others to focus their aggression and hatred towards her instead of Code Stringer, been forced to wear Tessa's skin as a "trophy", been gaslit into thinking that she was doomed to be unloved, and much more tragic things have been forced onto this kid.
