[coding-up]

Hi Tumblr!

A busy day today. I was so tired and was thinking maybe I’d just do 30 mins or something, but I wanted to see this through that I gave my all to stick with the 1 hour of code a day and I did! :D

I’m taking the course a bit more slowly so I can practice everything, while learning more. I know I can always go back to resources, but rushing through always makes me more stressed.

Anyway, I haven’t learned a whole lot more, so I decided to make another simple website. This time about one of my favorite bands :D

I’ve been getting back into their music, so thought I’d make something to entertain myself and practice.

I thought the embed for the Spotify was really cool! I can’t wait to learn CSS to start making the websites look more polished! I really like coding. It’s fun and I like seeing my ideas come to life.

Today I learned about relative paths, how to make a link open in a new tab, and that I can turn images into links! I turned the photo of him in the blue shirt into a link. I’ll work on the site some more, but I’m tired. Too tired to go back and remove how cringey I was as a kid fawning over them lol that’s what’s in blue. 

Happy I got my 1 hour today yay!!

Your girl woke up at 7 this morning and got in an 1hr and 10 mins of coding and learning B)

I’m really proud of myself and I’m having a lot of fun learning to code. I made some small updates to my project based on what I learned today:

I learned how to add hyperlinks using the anchor <a> element :D There’s a fashion blog project coming up in this module so I’m excited to get started with that. I wanna learn how to use my own images from my computer in my projects. I know there’s a way and Codecademy said you can do it using the anchor element, but I can’t figure it out yet. I’m sure eventually they’ll get to it, if not I have google and plenty of resources to find out.

But yeah, that’s all for today. Also, I’m a little confused on <div> and <span> I’ll have to look into those more on exactly what they do and what the different is. I know one is for inline and one is for block of text, but other than that I’m still not too sure on what they are and how to use them. I know visually they make no difference :/
