“We are making an apology cake for Will, whether you like it or not.” Will was about to push through the kitchen door when he heard Dom speak inside. It was muffled but Dom was speaking louder than the other person, that Will could more or less guess it was Andrew. “You have to talk to him sooner or later you know, you can’t just leave this hanging forever.”
“I know but..” Andrew’s voice whined back.
“Hey, look, Will’s your best friend. And you play one of the most painful silence games in the world, okay? It killed me when you stopped talking to me once, I don’t want to know how bad Will must be feeling right now.”
There was just a short silence before a defeated sounding muffle into clothes, “Okay.”
Will backed away from the door, a small smile fell upon his lips but his heart still felt heavy, replaying the fight in his mind again. Maybe he’ll just come and get food later.
send 🌀 for my muse’s reaction to getting stuck in a storm with yours.
“I spyyyyy something wet that’s everywhere.”
“Rain. I spy something that looks like the sky is spitting pits of hell down.”
“Rain. Aw c’mon Dom, that’s no fun.”
“But that’s literally all we see right now.” Dom chuckled, leaning his head back against the wall as the two of them sat there on the bench just waiting for the storm to pass. It was perfectly sunny this morning when they came by the outdoor shooting range and then it just poured like there’s no tomorrow.
“I mean.. we could run it?” Will suggested, as the lightning flashed and thunder boomed and echoed around the school.
“Maybe, let’s not,” Dom flinched at the lightning, huddling beside Will. They really could run, it’s maybe just 5 minutes of running, with bags of guns. They can just dry them out, but that’s also so much work, with the amount of guns Will brought. Again.
“Okay, then why don’t we just talk?” Will chirped, most of the time seeming to want to get to know him better. And Dom would really like that too, they just always seem to have that extra layer of distance between them, probably Dom’s fault. “Sure, what do you want to talk about?”
And then Will slapped on that suggestive, cheeky grin, hinting on the one thing, or rather person they have most in common with.
“No,” Dom immediately flatten the idea, folding his arms as he turned his head away from Will to hide the blush creeping up his face.
