âOkay, call me later,â Xyla said finally before hanging up the phone tucking it back into her coat pocket, disappointed despite her wildest beliefs.
It was Christmas in the city and while tourists flooded the streets on their way to Times Square and Rockefeller Center, all NYC natives knew the place to be was Schmittâs Family Farm. Despite getting lost in the corn maze in the Fall, theyâd decided to try their luck at the Christmas tree maze, only to be left walking in circles amongst the pine trees.
âThat was my sister. My parents are visiting my Grandparents in Europe for the holidays and my little sister is spending Christmas with her new girlfriend,â Xy whined, rolling her eyes to mask her disappointment that sheâd be spending the holidays alone. âPlease tell me youâre not going anywhere for the holidays and please tell me I can crash your Christmas party,â she begged, a gloved hand reaching out for their shoulder. âOtherwise itâs just me and Butters this Christmas, watching Elf and drinking wine all alone. Or wait, you can join us! Iâll make a whole turkey dinner and well have left overs to last us until New Years.â @codstartersâ
