Open City in Woodley park is packed for breakfast every weekend. I just wish the coffee was better.....

Tryst is an Adams Morgan hot spot which offers a selection of Counter Culture coffees. They use to serve amazing coffee but it's gone down hill over the years.
Filter is a hidden gem in Dupont Circle. They take their coffee seriously and use a number of different roasters. They also offer wifi at this location but the tables could be a smidge larger to make sharing easier.
