What are Coffee Logs?
Who doesn’t love a hot brewing cup of coffee early morning? While we all love coffee, we do forget that apart from one of the tastiest drinks made, coffee remnants can be used for other beneficial things as well. The waste from the grounds where coffee is grown can be used to make fire logs. Since coffee is highly calorific in value, it burns about 20% hotter than other kiln dried fire logs. White kiln dried logs are faster and easier to make, they do harm the environment much more than coffee logs. Coffee logs only use what is organically available, thus saving nature and the environment.
Coffee logs can be used for domestic burners as well as multi fuel stoves. Although made from the waste coffee grounds, these logs smell nothing like coffee. Infact they smell like wood when they burn. While using in a domestic burner or stove, you do not need to add more than 2 to 3 coffee logs as they give out a high amount of heat. The moisture content in these logs is comparatively lower, hence they burn cleaner than any other kind of fire log, giving out fewer emissions.
However beneficial coffee logs may be to bring a good amount of heat whilst saving the environment, they are not recommended for barbecues or open cooking. They can be used to provide heat as well as in burners or stoves. Switch to the alternative to conventional fuels and do your bit to save the environment for the future generations.
Coffee Logs produce more heat than other fuels - and burn for much longer than wood. The thin wax coating protects the Coffee Log during transit and acts as an ignition agent. Coffee Logs are made in the unique bio-bean coffee recycling factory in Cambridgeshire. Perfect for open fires and multi-fuel stoves.
