cordyceps mug no. xxvi_xiii; 5.29.26
wheel thrown, altered and assembled porcelain mug with hollow-thrown knob handles. oxidation fired to ^9 with clear liner glaze and multiple zinc silicate crystalline glazes.
this weirdo was recently rejected (along with the previous teapot) from a show i would liked to have participated in again... but that means this one, along with three others, will likely be heading to Humboldt, TN for the material mug invitational at Companion Gallery this coming September. definitely worth checking the gallery out if nearby as they always seem to have an excellent selection of contemporary pottery, for which I'm humbled to be given this opportunity (when seemingly all others have dried up 🤷)
currently working on a last min batch of greenware to see if recent inspiration can bear fruit before time to ship runs out!
i hope all makers who chose obedient silence and willful compliance cancel me. may i forever lose the very foundations of my livelihood, the trick currency of attention and the false hegemony of 'community' from every bootlicker that bends over raw for empire.
i desire raw truth. take all the rest back.
i cannot participate in a world that won't see itself.
