I’m a small-batch hand builder. I tend to decorate my work by painting and carving. I’ll repeat designs I enjoy, but mostly I just make what I make. my spouse @subpar-lemon-bar has started making and decorating pottery with me too (plus he’s the one printing shipping labels and sending invoices lol)

if you see an unfired piece that you want, check the tags. if it says ‘available once fired,’ send me a dm and I’ll give you first dibs once it’s finished!

I try to mark sold pieces as sold in the post, but I do forget sometimes. and I try to remember to add alt descriptions. if I’ve missed one, let me know and I’ll edit

For the pendants, could you do different kinds of small flower pressings?

I think I read somewhere about a pottery technique (?) Where someone presses flowers into the clay to make depressions, fires them and burning away the organic matter, and then filling the indentations with glaze to give them a little color. I may have the process wrong though, because I think you're supposed to fire glaze..? Sorry if this is a net zero info ask

that is a technique I’ve seen done, but never tried! I’ll have to go for a walk tomorrow and look for very small leaves and flowers to press into some of the softer pendants

and you’re right, you can glaze them to add colour! they get fired once without glaze and then the second time with glaze

(also I just bought myself this glaze and the colour breaks so beautifully over texture, I think it’ll suit this technique perfectly! 🥹)

I started workshopping some potion bottles for Ren Faire a few months ago and I feel like I’m getting somewhere…. They’re different than the standard rounded bottom but I tend to appreciate that I can set them down on flat surfaces. I’m still figuring out finishing off the mouths so they’ll take the same cork but I’m just about there.
